The Moon replaced the sun in the dark sky. Its silver rays penetrated the large windows and illuminated the darkened University hallways. The quick footsteps echoed through the silent building. It was too late to be still on campus, but the project was more difficult than Maetee thought, keeping him in the library till late hour. He was the last one to leave the library. Maetee didn't even realize the place was closing till the librarian told him to go.

His steps resounded on the old concrete floor, making him shiver. He tried to pass the dim corridor faster, but his legs felt like jelly. Maetee swallowed scared squeaks as he passed by the empty classrooms. When he arrived at the stairs, he had to grasp the railing so he wouldn't fall.

"Here you are." The familiar voice startled him. Maetee clutched the books he held closer to his chest and glanced at the bottom of the stairs. As soon as he recognized the person waiting for him, all his fears disappeared.

"T-Rex!" Maetee shouted happily and ran down.

"It was getting late, so I came to pick you up." T-Rex smiled, hooking his tiny hand around Maetee's arm.

"It's nice of you." Maetee smiled back, mentally thanking his little boyfriend for coming to him.
