Chapter II: "I'll let you..."

A few days later, one in the morning...

Training started sooner than usual due to my brother's urge to start his own pack. "You're welcome by the way," I say as we walk towards the woods. "For what?" He asked. "For finding you a cute girlfriend, dumbass! What else?" I responded. He scoffs. "It was a forced relationship, Rose, but we did eventually click." He says as he kisses the top of LizzBeth's head. She smiled and leaned on his shoulder.

"And you two?" Sai asked gesturing to me and Alex. I look at Sai with narrowed eyes. "What about us?" I asked. "When are you two gonna click?" He asks. I stopped, pretending to hear something. "Rose...? What's wrong?" My brother asked. I ran into the woods to not hurt anyone, and to just avoid the question at hand. "I'll find her," Keith says as he runs into the woods as well.

Sitting near a small creek, I could tell that a thunderstorm was coming. I smile at the thought of getting some training done in the rain, I heard rustling but ignored it. He knew exactly where I was because he found me immediately. "I knew you'd be here. I'm guessing you just didn't want to answer the question either huh?" Keith says, crouching down behind me. I looked over my shoulder and smiled as he wrapped his arms around me. "Just when I thought I'd be free from an awkward situation like that," I say as I snuggle into his embrace. He tightened his hold. "You have no idea how much I wish you'd just erase her memories of me." He whispered. I knew he was talking about Sakata. I nod. We stayed there for a bit, and then we heard my brother howl. We answered back. "Can I be honest with you? " I asked as we walked back to the dirt path leading to the training ground. He nods. "I kinda do have feelings for Alex," I say. Keith stopped walking and smiled. "I knew you'd fall for him soon." I opened my mouth to speak, but stopped and looked away embarrassedly. He just laughed.

Arriving, we departed and went to our positions. I didn't see Alex wasn't next to Sai like he usually is. Hearing rustling coming from the woods. Alex came out with two big bucks on his shoulders, and the same thing that happened was about to repeat itself. I growled as some of the recently shifted wolves started to prowl towards him. Once I took the bucks away from him, I took off my sweatshirt and pulled Alex aside in the woods. "Here put this on, your sweatshirt is covered in blood, and although I love making everyone who has shifted suffer, I'm sure it's nauseating," I say kindly, handing him my sweatshirt, and holding my other hand out for his. Looking at it, I could tell he was contemplating on taking it.

In the end, he took it. Turning around, he starts talking his off and slips the one I have given him on. I sat on a log waiting patiently for him to finish, I wanted to talk to him. Looking at his back, I noticed something, a tattoo, like a tiger's stripe, a sign that his wolf had finally awoken, and was looking for a mate. "Alex...?" I whispered, and he heard it. I covered my mouth immediately. He turned to look at me, and his half-human half-beast form took over, walking towards me slowly. "What is this feeling?" He asked, his scent flowing through the air. "This feeling is when a wolf finds their other half, or in this case, a mate," I say as I inhale his scent. "So, I'm your other half...?" He asked. I nod.

"Should we go then? I heard that once a wolf finds their mate, they need to mark each other as soon as possible. I'm sure our twins can handle everything if we disappear for a bit." I can feel my face and ears heat up as soon as he says that. "I'm not sure if we should." My wolf speaks, "Go. He's liked you since Sai has talked to him about you. " I hesitate a bit. Looking back, I see that everyone has been hypnotized by the hanging meat. I turned back to Alex and nodded. He then asked, "Where to, I don't exactly know what to do now." He said innocently. "Let's go to your house since your Parents aren't wolves yet. They won't know what we're doing." I blushed as I said that. "Alright." He said. "First I need to do something. I need to mimic your sister's voice in case they ask, so hold still." I said as I did a gutsy move on him. Pushing him up against a tree, I placed my lips on his. He stood there stunned by my actions, letting me continue. As I pulled back and wiped my mouth, he grabbed my arm and pulled me into another kiss. He pulled back first, looking into my eyes. "Ready to go now?" I ask smirking at him for doing that.
