He cleared his throat and glanced at Mango, giving her a warm smile.
"Jimin told me-."
"I know... I heard. I'll be going now. I hope you stay safe... Seol. I hope you make Jimin happy. He seems like a nice guy. I really mean it." He waves at Mango and gives her a cute smile before heading to the door.
"Wait... please don't leave, yet. Jimin won't be back till the evening... we could catch up, maybe? Me and Mango are going to the park, do you want to come?" My speech stutters while I try to fix my confidence. I think he noticed my change in emotion as we stared at each other awkwardly for what felt like forever.
"Umm... sure." I smiled at him after he broke the silence.
"Good! Wait I'll give you some spare clothes. Follow me." I left Mango and beckoned Jungkook into our room discreetly from Mango.
"What do you want to wear?" I speak while looking through Jimin's wardrobe. He doesn't often wear casual clothes because of constantly wearing work clothes, so I'm sure he won't notice.
"Uhh, some jeans and a hoodie would be fine."
"Okay, sure." I pull out a large black hoodie with some black jeans.
"Here." I lay the clothes out onto the bed along with a new toothbrush and all the essentials Jungkook would need. Or at least would help him freshen up.
"I'll be waiting in the kitchen, so come out when you are ready."
"Sure." He said confidently whilst picking up the hoodie. I closed the door behind me and mentally sighed. I can't believe I just invited Jungkook out for a walk with me!
Like who is he? My boyfriend? No because Jimin is my boyfriend.
I brush off my feelings and head towards the kitchen island. Prepping foods and drinks as I think we're going to stop by the park. Mango often likes going there to play on the swings and slides and occasionally making friends with dogs we meet there.
"Okay. Sandwiches, drinks, utensils. What else? Ah Fruits and sweets and chocolates." Mango comes out of her room giving me a cute smile.
"Hello Mango, you okay?"
"Yeah. When are we going out?"
"In literally ten minutes baby. Just packing our foods. And Jungkook will be joining us if that's okay?"
"Okay Seol." I sit her onto the counter as she watches me pack all the foods and drinks. She had already started eating some of the fruits.
Hearing the door open, Jungkook walks out and looks and me and Mango at the kitchen prepping food for our picnic.
*Jungkook's POV*
She is still as beautiful as she was before. The way she is still caring and thoughtful whilst being elegant seems surreal. I didn't even think you could have such perfect traits.
It may be wrong for me to be even thinking about this, but I want her back. I know she doesn't deserve me. She will never deserve me, so that's why I'll change. Become a better person for her. I want her back. She is mine and forever will be mine.
The temptation to just take her and cuddle her to my chest is extremely tempting. But Mango is here. Jimin's daughter. Looks like I'll have to play hard to get her back.
*Seol's POV*
"Okay Seol, you can go and play. Me and Jungkook will be sitting by the bench next to the swings. If you need me I'll be there okay?" She nods excitedly not even paying attention to my words and runs off into the playground.
Me and Jungkook sit ourselves on the swings and I gently swing myself back and forth. Not much, but enough for me to move the slightest bit.
"You seem like a lovely mother."
I turn to Jungkook, his eyes glistening from the sun which makes me stare into his eyes for a little too long.
"Um yeah. Haha thanks. It's nothing really. Just keep them distracted with toys and cook and take care of them I suppose."
"Seems like hard work. I-I mean... yeah. How's Jimin?" The tension grows between us. The awkwardness is physically palpable between us. The world blurs around. Only me and Jungkook on the swings are the only objects I see.
"Jimin? Yeah he's nice."
"Just nice? Come on, he's your boyfriend. There's got to be more you think about him than being just 'nice'."
"Yeah no. I mean he's loving and a great boyfriend. Very friendly and the sweetest person I know." I didn't know to what extent I should stop talking about Jimin. Ultimately, Jungkook is my ex. I'm sure it's extremely hard to listen to me, so why ask me?
"Do you still like singing in the shower? Putting pieces of clothing together to wear the next day. Trying different makeup styles in your pyjamas because you just want to 'practise'. "
I was taken aback.
I froze on the swings and he stares deeply into my eyes. His beautiful eyes. I nod whilst looking at the floor. I wasn't too sure what to say.
"And we would use to sit like this. Just talking about our interests and life in general."
"Ye-yeah. They were nice. I enjoyed it."
"Ju-Jungkook. Realistically. Why are you saying these things? I thought we were past that. Do you not remember what you did to me that evening. Our last evening together." Anger suddenly surges me. Corrupting all of my cells.
"You did this to me?!" I stand up and slightly pull my shorts down on my right leg. Exposing the scars which had been sliced across my thigh.
"I was hurting for several months. I got better. And now I'm back in this cycle! Because of you Jungkook. Because of FUCKING YOU?!" I pull my shorts up as a tear slips from my eye. I look scan he playground, looking for Mango, but everything seemed to blur. My head was spinning and my breath quickened.
The last thing I saw was Jungkook running towards me as darkness takes over me.
