Enjonine (Aaron Tveit Love Story)

Opening Night

I sat in the gym putting my make up on I was already in costume and had my mic on I was just waiting to do mike checks. "Mike Checks." Emily called and all the leads went onto the stage. "Alright number 8." the mic guy said

"I know this house I tell you there's nothing her for you just the old man and the boy they live ordinary lives! I'm gonna scream I'm gonna warn them here! Well I tolled you I'd do it I tolled you I'd do it." I sang before screaming because I knew they had to check my mic for when I screamed. "Thank you." he said and I went back to the gym to finish putting on the stage make up and "dirt."

"I heard a rumor someone from the movie is coming." Nicole said

"Really who?" I questioned

"I think the guy who played Enjolras."

"Aaron Tveit."

"Yeah that's his name."

"Why would he be coming here?"

"He's coming with the casting director to give his input."

"Are we going to get to meet him."

"Who me?" I heard a voice say I turned around and right there in front of me was Aaron fricking Tveit."

"Actually yes." I replied trying to play it cool.

"Are you a fan?"

"Oui."

"Well then you know my name I don't know yours."

"Kathleen Doyle."

"Nice to meet you Kathleen are playing Eponine?"

"Oui m'sieur Enjolras."

"Well break a leg tonight I should get back to my seat."

"Thank you." I replied as he left Oh my god I just met Aaron Tveit. "How were you so calm isn't he like your celebrity crush?"

"Yes."

"Wow."

"Places." Our director said and I sat in the gym as I wasn't on until the end of the first act. I heard Nicole sing I dreamed a dream and I smiled closing my eyes until I heard that Nick was singing stars. I went to my side of the stage and then walked on when the Music changed to look down I was in the back as I wasn't supposed to be seen yet. "Hey there M'sieur what's knew with you planing to over throw the state you still pretending to be poor c'mon I know your grandpa's rich." I sang

"Won't take a franc I have not earned all of those bridges have been burned." Robert replied

"I like the way you talk M'sieur." I teased

"and I like the way you always tease." He said ruffling my hair I sighed and continued "Little he knows. little he sees." We continued the scene and then I walked off the stage I had time before In my Life there was still Red and Black and Do you hear the people sing?

When I heard Danielle sing her part of In my Life I met Robert on the side of the stage where we entered. "In my life she has burst like the music of angels the light of the sun and my life seems to stop as if something is over and something has scarcely begun. Eponine." Robert sang spinning me around "You're the friend who has brought me here thanks to you I am one with the gods and heaven is near and I soar through a world that is new that is free!"

"Every word that he said is a dagger in me." I sang emphasizing dagger. "In my life there's been no one like him anywhere, anywhere, where he is if he asked I'd be his."

"In my life there is someone who touches my life." We both sang

"Waiting near." Robert sang.

"Waiting here." I sang sighing we did a heart full of love, rue plumet and One Day More act one was definitely a success. I got changed into my outfit for act two smiling I was going to do On My Own next my big number the number that is going to make the most impression on the casting director. We got back to places and started act two. We ran building the barricade and I gave the letter to Jacob (who is playing Valjean) he did his monologue and then it was time for On My Own I stood in the back of the house as the music began playing. I began to walk down the stairs to the stage. "and now I'm all alone again no where to turn no one to go to without a home without a friend without a face to say hello to. But now the night is near and I can make believe he's here. Sometimes I walk alone at night when everybody else is sleeping. I think of him and then I'm happy with the company I'm keeping the city goes to bed and I can live in side my head." I got to the stage and walked up to the steps.

"On my own pretending he's beside me all alone I walk with him till morning without him I feel his arms around me." I sang wrapping my arms around my self. "and when I lose my way I close my eyes." and I closed my eyes. "and he has found me." I walked around the stage pretending to be day dreaming. "In the rain the pavement shines like silver all the lights are misty in the river in the darkness the trees are full of starlight and all I see is him and me forever and forever." I sang a smile on my face but as the music continued I sighed and my smile faded. "And I know its only in my mind that I'm talking to my self and not to him and although I know that he is blind still I say there's a way for us. I love him but when the night is over he is gone the river's just a river. without him the world around me changes the trees are bare and everywhere the streets are full of strangers."

I then walked over to the wall and leaned against it. "I love him but everyday I'm learning all my life I've only been pretending! Without me his world will go on turning a world that's full of happiness that I have never known!" I belted and I slid down to the floor my back to the wall I brought my knees to my chest "I love him...I love him...I love him." I sang my voice cracking. "But only on my own." I then buried my face into my knees and pretended to cry as the lights faded to black.

The rest of the show went by so quickly and I couldn't believe that I just played my dream role in front of an audience and got a standing ovation after On my own and when I bowed. Today was an amazing day and I couldn't wait to see what the casting director had to say
