I was awake again. My eyes still closed, feeling a slight throbbing in my head. I rolled over, and peeked a little, seeing that I was in a room. Sitting upright slowly, so as not to injure my back any further, now fully aware of everything around me, even the soft bed of moss I lied on. That's a weird thought, sleeping on moss...The wall that I was leant up against, spread around in a peculiar circle shape. It was a rosy pink, and almost transparent to therays of lightprotruding from the walls. My fingers traced the wall, and it felt firm, but smooth like a petal.
That's it! This room looks like a giant flower!
The ceiling, I noticed, was the exact same as the circular room, petal-like in shape.
Am I really in a flower room? I must be dreaming. Wake up!
It was hard to tell what time it was outside of the flower room, because the light seeping through was so faint. Looking across from the moss bed, was a little black stove, with wood burning inside. You know, those old-fashioned stovetops, that have a wood-burning compartment beneath it? Yeah, that's exactly what it was.
To the left of the stove were three wooden chairs, both odd in shape and color, ranging in different shades of brown. They seemed to be old misfit logs hammered together. These chairs circled around a round table also made of odd bits of wood. Of course to the right side of the room, was a bookshelf, and a snakeskin recliner of some sort.
All of this looked like a little house you'd find in a book about fairies, so dainty and enchanting. But what am I doing here anyway? What happened to the creature, the forest, the rain?
I massaged my temples, when I heard voices. Suddenly, the petal roof began to open outward, and the most remarkable person I've ever seen, flew in. Yes, I'm not even joking, FLEW in. She landed gracefully in front of my moss bed, smiled at me, and watched another flying person drop in.
The first winged girl, had silky auburn hair that flowed down close to her waist. She was tall, probably somewhere around 5/8 and very slim. Transparent dragonfly-like wings protruded from her shoulder blades, with the most dazzling spiral patterns on them. She's a fairy? The fairy wore a draped, white, layered, strapless dress that fit her narrow body perfectly. Her small feet were bare, but her legs and arms had artistic tattoos that looked like pale pearls, and ran in a curved line down either arm or leg. In a strange way she was beautiful.
The second winged girl, wasn't actually a girl at all. She was not very wrinkly, but you could tell by the sparkle in her eyes, that she had lived her youth long ago. Her wings, were more of a butterfly shape, and branched out into four flaps. Also, did she wear a long white dress, but her's was much longer, probably because of the age-appropriateness difference. This fairie's hair was white, and pulled back with an ivory ribbon.
The elder looking fairy walked over and sat at the edge of the moss bed.
"Hello child. How are you feeling?"
I nodded my head side to side indicating I was just okay. The elder fairy smiled and began again.
"My name is Esiw (pronounced eh-seew). But, since it may sound like a strange name to you, just call me E for short. I'm sure you are very confused, and rightly so, you have much to learn. But the basics, I shall tell you. Where are you, you might ask? This, is a tuhrewolf (pronounced too-ray-oof), or flower hut in your tongue. It is a truly amazing plant.
