My body was pinned invisibly to a cold brick wall. The bonds of the forbidden spell kept me still. The master stood in front of me, grinning that horrid sleazy grin.
"Soon we will meet. Under circumstances I can hardly say we will greet. You will have to choose. Either way I will win. Either way, you will lose."
My head pounded rapidly, as I tried to sit up, tried to regain my surroundings. Someone's heavy sigh was heaved, though my eyes still refused to open.
"Lily, you aren't supposed to get up so quickly. It will cause a massive headache." Kael said, I knew his voice anywhere.
Forcing my eyes open, I saw him in front of me. It was the identical situation from the moment we first met. I groaned.
"So I've heard."
With a shake of his head, he got up while saying, "I am going to get you something to eat, those forbidden spells drain you horribly of energy."
"Ha! No kidding. What is this, round two?" I replied, with a mock laugh.
He shrugged his shoulders, and left the room. Leaning back up against the wall of my moss bed, a thought rushed back to me; the reason I conched out: Wymon.
"KAEL! Kael, where is Wymon?" I could hear footsteps toward my room, but was surprised to see my little friend come instead. Rushing towards me, he threw his bony arms around my neck, causing his wings to curl up around him and poke me in the face as well.
"Wymon, you got your wings." I traced my fingers along his neck tattoo, which was a glowing white spiral shape, that ran from the top to the bottom his left side of his neck.
"Is it not wonderful? I have never felt so good before. And believe me, you were worth saving. Your scream was loud enough to hear from the valley! That was no ordinary scream. Anyhow, I have been awake a lot longer than you. I was afraid you know, that you would not wake up. It has been nearly two days. Yesterday morning I awoke."
"Aw, you are too sweet. And really? That must have been a powerful Eramthgin. You must have been more powerful, to get rid of that. And thus your wings were earned." I smiled at him, and he grinned back as well.
"Has Kael told you, what happened when I left the underground? Where are Deliah, Blythe, and Ren?"
"Oh, they-"
"We are here!" Cut off Deliah, as she and the others walked in the room. She ran over to me and squeezed me tight. Blythe looked a tad bit happier than usual, and Ren; he had the largest grin on his face. I haven't seen anything quite like it, though he also reserved an embrace.
"Lily, we were all worried for you. I mean, we all waited for you for weeks it seems. We are not sure though, how long you and Wymon were lying on the grass unconscious before Kael and I found you. After you left, we had to immediately dismiss the meeting, and we sent out a search for you.
Everyone figured you must have gone to see Wymon, but we had everyone scatter out anyway. The woman who told you of his mother's passing wasn't to be found, so we guessed in which direction to find you, and luckily we did. And we heard the story of his bravery. Many congradulations by the way." Deliah said, to which Wymon nodded back.
