heeseung was standing among a large crowd of students, speaking loudly so that everyone could hear him.
"everyone is invited..." he slowly extended his arm and pointed a finger at a certain person. "...except for you."
sunoo gasped. "what did I do?"
heeseung paused, carefully taking a few steps towards the latter until he there were a few inches separating them. "are you really asking me that?"
sunoo's eyes widened, then he grabbed heeseung's arm. he pulled at it desperately. "heeseung, look at me. this isn't you!"
heeseung cringed back. he opened his mouth to say something, but sunoo interrupted him. "i promise you i am not going to drink as much - no, wait. i am not going to drink at all."
heeseung sighed and turned to walk away. he waved the crowd goodbye before saying, "alright. you gave me your word."
he turned abruptly back to face sunoo again, his face serious. "some new friends of mine are going to be there as well. don't embarrass me again."

heeseung is well-known among his campus for throwing some of the best parties. and even though sunoo is one of his closest friends, he always ends up ruining something. last couple of times, he managed to vomit on heeseung's favourite shirt, flirt with his boyfriend, and break the most expensive vase in the older's house. the worst part is that sunoo doesn't even remember anything.
sunoo entered heeseung's house, and because he was around two hours late, he expected to be the last to arrive. the first thing that attacked his senses was a strong mix of smells, ranging from barbeque sauce and alcohol, to cologne and sweat.
he looked around, noticing some familiar faces, but also many strangers. he searched for heeseung, and after a while, he found him on the couch with another guy. heeseung waved, and sunoo approached him.
"sunoo, this is my new buddy- sunghoon." heeseung said, nodding towards sunghoon.
his name seemed familiar. sunoo analyzed the boy. he regarded his perfect posture, his smug face and luxurious accessories. sunghoon looked too pretentious. he seemed like a perfectionist, and even from the first glance, sunoo could tell that sunghoon was trying too hard. and that's when he realised that sunghoon is the pompous boy that every girl talks about in between classes.
sunoo smirked, "nice to meet you," he said, extending his arm.
sunghoon considered for a while, but chose to ignore the other's hand. he smiled warmly, "you too."
sunoo raised his eyebrows and pulled his hand away. heeseung quickly intervened, "sunghoon is also studying at the same campus as us. i happened to run into him while going to one of my classes."
sunoo nodded. "let's greet each other at the campus from now on."
sunghoon looked away, without replying.
the audacity.
"by the way, sunghoon, you said you don't drink?" heeseung asked.
