sunoo's heart raced as sunghoon's lips met his. he closed his eyes, feeling the warmth and softness of the other's lips against his own. it was a gentle, hesitant kiss, but it was filled with so much emotion. sunoo's mind was in turmoil. he didn't deserve this. he didn't deserve sunghoon's trust or affection. he was a liar and a manipulator.

he was so lost in the moment that he didn't realize when sunghoon pulled away. the latter pressed his forehead against sunoo's, gently grabbing his chin and touching sunoo's lower lip with his thumb.

"why?" was the only thing sunoo could ask between his shaky breaths.

"i... i like you, sunoo," sunghoon murmured. sunoo blinked a few times, not really believing what the other said.

the park sunghoon liked him? in what universe?

"i... i don't..." sunoo stuttered, unsure of how to respond. he knew he should tell sunghoon the truth, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. His mind raced as he tried to come up with an excuse, and finally, he blurted out, "i should leave."

it was like a cruel twist of fate, to have someone like sunghoon, who was pure and kind, to fall for someone like him, who was cunning and deceptive. and now, in this moment, he regretted everything.

"don't..." sunghoon said, grabbing sunoo by the wrist.

"i need some time alone," sunoo said before leaving the house.

---

the rain was relentless, pouring down from the dark sky and drenching everything in sight. he stood in the middle of the road, oblivious to the cars honking and the people shouting at him. his eyes were blank, fixed on a point in the distance that only he could see. sunoo didn’t know if the wetness on his face was from the rain or from his tears. He felt a sharp pain in his chest, a mixture of regret and confusion.

he felt a wave of guilt wash over him. he felt awful for making sunghoon fall for him, but also for feeling that he is catching feelings for the latter.

he walked slowly, getting home soaked by the rain.

he took a cold shower, hoping to wash away his guilt and confusion, but it didn’t help. he changed into some dry clothes and crawled into his bed. he stared at the ceiling, replaying the events of the day in his mind.

the silence was broken by his phone ringing. it was heeseung.

"yes?" sunoo answered.

"shit. sunoo! you are in big trouble-" heeseung's voice was frantic and scared.

"you don't say. something so crazy happened-"

"i don't fucking care, sunoo! check the college confession page. you are so fucked-" heeseung interrupted him, sounding desperate.

sunoo felt a surge of curiosity and fear. He ended the call, standing up from his bed and searching the page on his phone.

he went through the posts and gasped when he saw the most recent one. he stared in disbelief at the image with the caption: 'park sunghoon kissing a boy at heeseung's last party.'
