When you came back from Manchester, ronnie was already standing outside the door at phils, waiting for you to pick her up. As soon as you stepped out of the car,he ran up to you, giving you a big hug.

"Aww ronnie bear, I missed you so much," you hugged him tight, "I missed you too, mummy."

Phil watched from a distance. He couldn't help but smile and adore the sight in front of him. This is all he really wanted and needed.
"Hey,Phil , everything ok?" He was brought back to reality when he felt your hand on his shoulder. "Hey, yeah," he nodded.

You knew he was lying; the 7 years of being together had taught you how to read him. The tired eyes and the low energy told you everything you needed to know, but you didn't want to pressure him into telling you anything. "I'm always here if you need to talk," you assured him before going back to ronnie.

"Come on, ron, should we go buy ice cream?" He heard you say as you put him in the car. He immediately was thinking back to how the three of you would go get ice cream when ronnie was just a baby; he missed those days a lot.
"YES MUMMY!" He heard ronnie cheer, and it made him smile.ronnie was the cure for both of you.

When you had driven away,Phil went back inside his house, shutting the door behind him, and started to slowly let his emotions get to him.

...
You and Ronnie had been at home most of the days doing nothing much; you tried to call Phil a few times, but he didn't pick up.he would always text, at least. He hadn't answered your calls for days, and not even ronnie was able to talk to him.

You figured something bad had really happened between him and Cassie. Ever since ronnie told you about the fight he had with Cassie, he hasn't been himself at all.

"Hey ronnie?"
"Yes mummy," he looked at you, giving you his attention.
"How about we go visit daddy? Would you like that?" You asked him as he smiles and cheered.

Fast forward: you parked your car and helped ronnie out. You both went over, knocking on the door, but no one opened. You knew he was home; his car was right there. You looked for the key under a rock- he always had a spare there-and opened the door, praying you weren't intruding something, in case you had gotten it all wrong and Cassie was still there.

But the place was quiet. You walked around the bottom floor, he wasn't there.
You and ronnie both went upstairs, and you could swear on hearing him cry in his room. Your heart dropped at the sound.

"Baby, why don't you go play with your toys? I'll look for your dad, ok?" You told him, and he nodded and walked into his own room. If he was really crying, you most definitely didn't want your son to see it and worry. Ronnie can get very emotional if he sees you or Phil cry, and you don't want him to feel that.

You slowly went over to his bedroom, opening the door, and there he was, laying in bed.You could hear muffled sniffles as Phil's body was turned the other way. "Y/N," he said as looking up, he heard you opening the door, you looked at him and he didn't care if you saw his bloodshot eyes and how broken he was. You had never seen him so vulnerable.

You didn't care anymore; you walked over to him, and you wrapped your arms around him. You didn't expect it, but he hugged you back tight, crying in your
arms."It's ok, let it out," you assured him.He buried his head in the crook of your neck, holding his arms tight around your waist. not wanting to let go.

'Talk to me, Phil ; what's gotten you so upset?" You leaned back and cupped his face. Your heart broke in pieces seeing him so sad."I'm full of regret," he said, looking at you, not able to stop crying. He felt like his heart was physically hurting, the past week he had just been overthinking everything and letting himself hurt emotionally.

"What do you regret?" You asked with worry.
"I let her into my life," he referred to Cassie, "I let her meet ronnie, and now she's fucked me over," he cried, burying his head in the crook of your neck again. You felt him being heavier; he had no energy or strength left in his body, and let himself lean over you like spaghetti.

"I'm so sorry, Phil ; you don't deserve this," you truthfully said, and doing your best to comfort him.He looked at you and shook his head, "No, I do deserve this." He wiped his tears, but you looked at him confused as to why he would think that."I'm not crying just because she cheated on me," he said, continuing to wipe away his tears. "Although it hurt for a bit, I'm just not upset about that anymore," he said.

"I don't understand," you said as you helped wipe his tears, new ones kept rolling
down."I thought I had moved on from you, but I can't." He shook his head. "I can't love someone else; I just can't," he cried again."Phil I don't understand," you said again, getting emotional too, not knowing what to do or how to react to his words.

"I never should've gone out with Cassie; I never should've brought her into our sons life, I never should've tried looking for someone else," he looked at you full of guilt, "I didn't even tell her I love her because I don't. I gave up so fast on us, and I regret it everyday, it wasn't until now that I listened to my heart," he continued.
"I Love you, Y/N. I only want you."

"I love you too,Phil , I always have and I always will."

The two of you pulled each other into a tight hug, a hug that you both needed and had missed for a very long time. Ronnie ran in and squinted. You and phil looked at him happy face as he walked over.Phil picked him up and put him on his lap.
"Mummy and daddy, why are you crying?" He asked with a worried look on his. face.
"They're happy tears," Phil assured him as he smiled at him.

This was everything you needed - the two most important people in your life were back in your arms, all together this time, like a family.
