Kian's pov•Here I was standing on the stage, stunned by my soon to be wife's beauty. It seemed like every thing in the surrounding was blur, because I couldn't focus on anything else except the woman who is supposed to be my better half. Marriage is not a small thing and the responsibilities comes with a new person in your life is also a big thing. One small mistake, and every thing will shatter into pieces and the fear that will you be able to live up to their expectations or not, can't be described.
To say I was nervous would be an understatement.
In no time, Yashaswi was near the stage and her dad asked, "Dhyan rakhna apna. I know how casual you get when it comes to your health."
Before she could reply I said, "It's ok dad. If she doesn't, I will take care of her properly."
Her dad looked kinda relieved. He gave her hand to me and I held her in climbing the stairs.
"You're okay right???" I asked her.
She gave her million dollar smile that I could die for and said, "Yeah"
"You look like a queen." I said and she blushed smilingly.
"You yourself don't look any bad, Mr. Rajput."
"It's a pleasure to get a compliment from you, my queen."
In the car~
The wedding is done. We are officially husband and wife and I can't be happier. I feel so lucky that I got to marry HER. The thing I'm feeling right now can't be described. But there's also a slight fear. Fear of not being a good husband as she deserves.
She was beside me. I looked at her and she was in deep thought. A fearful expression was pasted on her face.as far as I know her, she must be thinking if she would be able to be a good wife or not. If she'll be able to fulfill her duties or not and what not. But she need to understand that she doesn't need to be perfect. She just need to be herself, and I will worship her. I'm thankful to her that she agreed for this marriage. Call me whipped or whatever but what I said, I said.
"Stop overthinking wifey" I told her and she looked at me.
"How do you know I was overthinking??" She asked in disbelief.
I chuckled and said, "It's written all over your face." I took her hand in mine and said, "Yashaswi, I know it would be hard for you to adapt the environment which is totally different for you. It's hard for every girl, I know.though I'm not a girl so maybe I can't understand the things you all go through, but one thing I can assure that I will help you in every aspect of life. No matter how hard the situation is, I won't let you suffer. And one thing, if you ever feel uncomfortable just tell me and I'll do my best to make you feel at ease again."
I said and looked at her. She looked back at me. There were tears in her eyes and not only tears but also some emotions. Something like trust maybe.
"As long as I remember, I always had a very bad luck. Then how I got so lucky suddenly???" She smiled and said.
I chuckled and she kept her head on my shoulder and after that the ride to our home was silent. Comfortable silent
Reaching home, some post marriage rituals were done and everyone departed to their rooms. I went to talk to maa before going to my room.
"Maa!!!" I poked my head in her room.
"Aaja beta... Kya hua??"
I just laughed nervously.
"Tu nervous hai na???" I nodded my head vigorously. "Aa baeth idhar"
"Ye nervousness normal hai dar mat."
