The Strongest

I went to school the next day normally. Tamayo stared at me the whole time. "Tell me all the details." She doesn't give me any personal space. "You know...I like you better 100 years ago." I say teasingly as I blush slightly. She pouts. We both then laugh and I tell her what happened.

"So are you two dating now?" I look at her blankly. "You're such an airhead Shinobu!" I chuckle nervously, "He confessed to me but never told me that he wanted to date."

Tamayo looks at me annoyed. She then points at Tomioka. "Look he's coming now. Go ask him." She then walks away. "D-don't leave me!" She sticks her tongue out and continues to walk away. Tamayo is probably the only person who has changed from 100 years ago.

Tomioka comes up to me and greets me. "Hey Shinobu." 

I look at him, it was the same look I give everyone before I start to tease them. "Oh so we're on first name basis now, are we?" His face turns slightly red. I was hoping for more of a reaction out out of him.

"Oh well...It's fine. How may I help Giyuu?" I smile as I say his name. It feels light in my mouth.  Giyuu seems a little embarrassed. I can't tell why though. It could just be because of yesterday. "I forgot to ask after what happened yesterday...but am I allowed to call you my girlfriend?" His eyes tremble as he says this, his fists are closed tight. He's so nervous it makes me giggle. I take his hands and hold them gently. 

News seems to travel fast when it comes to me. Last year a rumour spread that I am an evil witch who poisons people, all because I tricked someone into thinking the drink I gave them was a potion. The next day the boy turned ill and I was blamed. Luckily for me, I'm loved so I was not punished.

Back to the point. Mitsuri runs towards me and Tamayo. She has a huge smile on her face. I sighed as I prepared for her gigantic hug. She hugged me tightly.

"Good morning Mitsuri." I say with my usual smile. She greets me back. She seemed rather eager. "You didn't tell me you and Giyuu are dating now!" I looked at her confused. It only just happened but how could she have known. I doubt Giyuu told anyone because he has no friends.

"Word travels fast." Tamayo says as she chuckles from my red face. I sigh and explain everything to Misturi.

Later that day I went to the library alone. I saw Gyomei there and I was a little confused on why since he can't read books...

"Gyomei-sensei. Can I help you?" I thought that I should at least ask. After all he is the one who saved me and Kanae more than 100 years ago. I always admired him, after all he was the strongest.

"Ahh Shinobu. I'm fine thank you." He says. I nod, I was about to walk away until he continues to talk. "You've always been a kind hearted girl." It was a little random to say.

"Really? I've been told otherwise..." It was true. Kanae never died so I never took her personality. I kept my old crap and horrible one. "You definitely are a kind girl Shinobu. You've helped so many people." I don't know why but I felt like tearing up. 

"What do you mean?" I ask. He smiles gently, "I remember the past. It was a sad one."

My mission was finally done. All the Hashira's memory have come back. I can go tell the Master. But there was one thing I wanted to do. I wanted to thank the person who saved me.

"Gyomei-sensei. Thank you...I'm so thankful to you. You saved me. The reason I could help so many people was because of you. It's not only me who thinks that! I'm sure everyone does. You've helped so many of us. Me, Kanae, Muichiro, Genya and so many more." Before I could continue, he places his hand on my head. "Thank you for making the defeat of Muzan possible."
