Oriana Paulina had cutely wrapped her arm around Xavier's; the two appeared to be the best of friends. an outsider would never know that the angel was meant to be serving a sentence for a crime. some did know, though. the demons whispered amongst each other about the supposed angel drug mule that was hanging out with the princess. Oriana paid no attention - she was used to it. Xavier, on the other hand, felt singled out and awkward.

"don't worry, Xavier. you're with me. no one will dare to speak out loud."

she might've been right, but that honestly didn't make Xavier any less nervous.

a few hours later and Xavier's hands full of shopping bags, they left the mall. Xavier's feet hurt and he was exhausted from trying on clothes Oriana made him try on.

"we have to make sure everything looks good on you!" she'd said. "I don't wanna have to come return anything. although you're so little and slim, you may not have to try on anything... but do it anyway."

back at the mansion, Godbrand had busied humself filing paperwork, so he hardly glanced at them as they walked through the door.

"welcome back, Love. maid."

Xavier narrowed his eyes at Godbrand, but before he had a chance to retort, Oriana already had his hand in hers, pulling him to his room.

"okay, let's put everything in the closet," she said.

"ah- uh, okay..." Xavier seemed to stumble over his words. it still surprised him how nice Oriana was. she had an image to uphold, and she put it on the line, saving the angel from years of hard labor and abuse behind bars... in a demon prison. Xavier shuddered at the thought of the things that could happen to him in there.

and Godbrand wasn't as nice to him, but he was responsible for the lightened sentence as much as Oriana was.

"you're so cute when you're nervous, Xavier. look, you can relax. I don't bite."

Xavier looked elsewhere to avoid her seeing the signature pink tint on his cheeks.

"...right," he said. "wouldn't Godbrand like... kill me if he heard you say that?"

"baby, Godbrand knows I'm his. he won't lose it so easily over something like that."

"but, he hates me."

Oriana shrugged. "hm, I guess you're right about that..."

Xavier sighed and air blew past his lips. his blonde bangs blew up as he did so, causing Oriana to giggle. Xavier couldn't help but smile back in response.

"but, just between you and me... Godbrand will do anything I say. if I tell him to leave you alone, be will. I've got him whipped," whispered Oriana mischievously. "so you don't have anything to worry about."

"that's reassuring."

-

"so what should I start cleaning first...?" Xavier asked timidly. Oriana was nowhere to be found; she had an important conference with her father and others.

Godbrand pretended to think and proceeded to mess with him. "hm... well actually, your first duty as maid isn't to clean. it's to cook. I'm hungry so get to it."

"don't you have a chef to do that??"

"yes. but I told him to not come in today because I would like you to do it."

"I... don't know how to cook..." Xavier said through clenched teeth.

"I'm sure you can figure it out. there are some recipe books around there somewhere." all four of Godbrand's eyes squinted smugly paired with an equally smug grin, showing sharp fangs. he'd already figured ahead of time that Xavier might not know how to do such a domestic chore. as he was taking a break from his work, he figured it would be a good time to have some fun with the angel who was already far out of his element.

"..."

Xavier turned around and gathered the pots and pans that seemed like they went together.

"so, what are you making?"

"... I don't know yet..." Xavier pulled down the leg of his shorts out of nervousness, knowing Godbrand was watching his every move.

Godbrand stood up and made his way to Xavier, placing both his hands on the countertop, trapping the poor angel between himself and the stove. he was much bigger than Xavier. then the grin seemed to disappear. the only thing left was a cold stare.

"how disappointing. I was expecting you to be able to do something so... basic." Godbrand said, keeping his voice low and close to Xavier's face.

"I don't know what you want me to do."

Godbrand said nothing as he roughly shoved Xavier to the side. in no time, there was food being fired up on the stove. Xavier wondered why the couple had a chef when Godbrand could do this.

"hope you're keeping up, angel. I expect you to replicate this tomorrow morning. understood?"

"... yes."

Godbrand raised a brow, and Xavier knew what he wanted.

"yes, sir."

the smirk returned and Godbrand pat Xavier on the head. "good boy. now your next chore. this one should be easier for you."
