It was a disaster.
In the city, there's a murderer roaming around, killing anyone they see.
Normally, it's not something our commander would be concerned about. She would just let the police do their job and focus on her organization's purpose.
But not this time.
As if by sheer coincidence, the same time this murderer was reported on the news, the Spirits were gone missing... at least, not all of them.
Origami, with her CR-unit given by Ratatoskr, was helping people evacuating to the shelter. Miku was in there, for her own safety. Kotori was in Fraxinus.
And Tohka? She should be in the shelter with Miku, but she wasn't. Unknown to her friends, Tohka was outside and trying to put a stop to this.
For she was the only one who was aware of what's happening.
Tohka: ...
Standing in the middle of the city, she stood in front of someone. Around that person were the body of AST wizards... and citizens.
The person was wearing a jacket with a hood on. It's a blue jacket, but if someone sees, they would mistake it with a red one. The jacket along with their black pants were covered in blood, which was why it's hard to tell the color of their clothes.
Both of them stared at each other, no one said anything. Not until Tohka gulped did she finally open her mouth to let her voice out.
Tohka: ... N-Ngoc...
She said his name.
The muderer - Ngoc interrupted her.
Ngoc: You shouldn't have come.
That single sentence sent a chill down her spine. Nevertheless, she shook her head and asked him.
Tohka: Yoshino, Natsumi, Kaguya, Mukuro, Yuzuru... Did you-
Ngoc: Yes.
She's shocked, even though she expected that answer.
Tohka: A-And... even Ai...
Ngoc: ...
He didn't speak a word, and that had answered her question.
Tohka: I don't understand... Why did you kill them?! They're your friends! You never wanted to hurt your friends before!
Ngoc: ... It's not that I want to do this... It's that I have to. I have to do this to save you all.
Tohka: What do you even mean?!
She tried to think of a reason.
Tohka: Did Yami make you do this? Did he tell you to do this?!
Ngoc: Other me? Well, it's true that this was his idea, but...
He smiled creepily.
Ngoc: He betrayed me, so... well, I'm sure you can guess what happened to him.
She could guess it. Ngoc had killed his other self.
Tohka: ... I don't understand...
But she couldn't understand why he had to do all of this.
