After I got back home, I told Shido about today's event, then we decided to tell the others the truth.
And by others I mean Kotori and Reine. Other Spirits were in the mansion at the moment.
Kotori: Rewriting the world... I see. I finally understand why you two acted weird yesterday.
Reine then showed us from the table a footage from earlier on the school roof.
Reine: This is taken by the automated camera on today's evening. We sent several camera to look for information regarding Origami Tobiichi, but I never would have thought to see this decisive moment.
Kotori: Origami Tobiichi is definitely Devil. But she doesn't know about it. Actually, I had Reine analyze her parameters, but she wasn't lying at all.
Shido: Then...
Kotori: Yes. There is a possibility that Origami Tobiichi hasn't realized that she turned into a Spirit.
Ngoc: But the thing is: Why did she turn into one?
Reine: Before we get into that, Ngoc, can I ask you something?
Ngoc: Huh? Sure.
Reine: You said you succeeded in changing the world. And everyone doesn't remember the previous world, right?
Ngoc: Yes. Only I, Shido and Kurumi remember.
Reine: I see. I get it.
Ngoc/Shido: ?
Reine: I just wondered why you and Kurumi are the only ones that have the memories of the previous world. Kurumi might be okay because of her ability, but I don't get the reason regarding your case. Most likely, there must be some kind of condition to save your memories of the previous world.
Shido: Condition?
Reine: Let's just say that the condition is getting shot by Kurumi's Yud Bet and have Spirit power.
Kotori: I see. If several conditions are needed, then the moment Origami Tobiichi received her power by Phantom, there's a possibility that she will recall back the memories of the previous world. Regardless the fact that she has memories of this world.
Reine: Though, as a self-defense mechanism, her memories were split in two. Essentially, there's Origami who lives in peace, and the Spirit Hunter, Devil. As soon as Origami senses Spirit power, she loses control of her mind and memory... and she's awakened as an inverse type.
Kotori: The theory works and it's consistent. As long as Origami Tobiichi's a Spirit, there's only one thing for Ratatoskr to do.
Ngoc: Date her and seal her. And before you say anything, I already asked her out. We will meet this Saturday.
Kotori: ... I'm sorry, what? You're telling me you hit on her before even knowing she's a Spirit?!
Ngoc: I'm being forced, okay?!
Shido: Technically, you chose this on your own. I only reminded you to find out more about her. I never asked you to go on a date with her.
He said as he smirked.
Ngoc: Don't push me on this!

At night, I texted her about the place and the time we would meet on Saturday. Before I closed my phone and sleep, I saw Origami texting something. I decided to wait, but it had stayed like that for more than 10 seconds.
What the heck was she typing on her keyboard anyway? I shrugged it off and went to sleep.

And so it was Saturday, the day for the date. I walked to the station.
