Me and charlie moved into our house a few months ago and we have been LOVING it. We have our own space where we can do whatever we want, just us two. This really helps Charlie with his eating. But I think everyone wanting to come and see the new house is a bit much for Charlie at the moment. So, he doesnt know it yet, but I want to surprise him with a holiday. I just haven't figured out where yet. I'll have to get my mum on the job, I think. She's good at stuff like that.

Life's been great in our new house but the one thing I don't get is why everyone wants to see it immediately. We are planning on having a party sometime soon anyways so, why can't they just wait? This is our space, our time and we want to enjoy it! Both me and Nick are busy most the time at work anyways. After a while, we just stopped answering our phones. We reply to our friends, Nick replies to his mum, I reply to Tori and that's it. I don't talk to my mum anymore. That's why I'm grateful Nick is so close to his mum, Sarah. She is practically the mum I never had and I love her to bits.

I booked the time off work today without telling Charlie so me and my mum can do some holiday searching. As usual, I got ready, drove Charlie to work but instead of driving to where I work, I went to my mums house. What she doesn't know though, is I'm planning to take her too. Wherever we end up going I want to go for a month so I don't want her to be on her own whilst we were away. I've never been away from her longer than a week.
I get to the house and she lets me in.
"I have already found some really nice places if you want to look through them." She pulls out her phone and scrolls through them all explaining why each one is so good. Suddenly, one catches my eye. I snatch my mums phone and send the link my phone. "Found one you like then?" She jokes.
"Yep! Thanks for your help," I give her a big hug, "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Work is so boring lately. I got into publishing, like I wanted to, but I didnt realise how boring it could get doing it every day. On my break, I send Nick a text asking how he's doing and telling him I miss him. He normally doesnt reply to my messages whilst he's at work as he is a Primary School teacher so he's always  got to have an eye on the kids. Today was different though. He replied within less than a minute of me pressing send.
The text read 'Finally got a break from the kids, miss you too though x.' I don't know why but something just seemed.. off. Although I'm probably just overthinking it - I tend to do that a lot.
