Charlies pov -
I woke up today dreading what we had planned. For some reason we thought it was a good idea to have a giant party with all of our friends; this includes Elle, Tao, Isaac, Tara, Darcy and a few people we met whilst at uni. I don't want to tell Nick I regret planning it, though, as he's been so excited about it for about a week now. It's kinda weird though because he wasn't really bothered when we first started talking about it. This past week it seems like he knows something I don't, he's just been so excited about everything.
Nicks pov -
I can tell Charlie isn't really looking forward to the party we planned for tonight, that's why I'm gonna make sure it doesn't last too long. What I'm most excited about, though, is the fact I finally get to tell my mum and Charlie that I'm taking them on holiday on Monday. I don't think I could keep it a secret any longer if I tried anyways. I'm terrible at keeping stuff from them both, especially Charlie.
I turn to Charlie, he's on his phone, scrolling through instagram again.
"How are you feeling about today?" I always ask this when something big is happening.
"Fine."
One thing I've learned about Charlie is that if he says something is fine, it's not. A lot of the time he just doesn't want me to feel bad (I never would, I love Charlie).
"Right now we both know you're not fine, you're a horrible liar," I remind him, "Char you know you can be honest and I won't judge."
He sighs, "I know but you've been so excited about this the past week and I don't want to spoil it for you."
Charlies pov -
I hate being honest, always have, always will. But what makes me hate being honest even more is the fact it can and it will hurt people.
Nick looks deep in thought, I shouldn't have told him what I actually felt.
"I'm sorry." I rest my head on his shoulder and he turns to look at me.
"I thought we agreed you weren't allowed to say that," we laugh, "but.. The real reason I've been so excited isn't because of the party."
What else is there to be excited about? Am I forgetting something?
"I actually have a surprise for you." He announces.
