AYEEE
THIS WAS REQUESTED BY @Melbel0495
AND IS KINDA LIKE A BACKSTORY PART TO 'Normal is the worst insult'
I TRULY ADVISE YOU TO READ THAT PART FIRST B4 THIS ONE BUT DO WHATEVER U WANT OK
LETS DO THIS

You and Mel. Two teenagers in love. Two teenagers in love that had an obsession with Target. Two teenagers in love that had an obsession with Target and their cosmetics aisle. What's gonna happen? Neither you or Mel know. So let me find out for you guys.

You and Melanie were doing what you guys did every Friday.
Which is, go to Target.
This tradition had started a while ago, actually. About 3 months ago. On your guy's first date. You got food at some fancy restaurant and then went to Target. That was a nice day to remember.

But as you and Mel walked into the automatic doors, hand in hand, you realized something.
You were really f*cking in love with Mel.
Really f*cking in love.

And you guys had never kissed.
On the lips, that is.

Sure, a small peck on the cheek or the nose every once in a while wasn't unusual between the two of you.

But a peck on the cheek or the nose wasn't what you wanted with Mel.
You wanted a full on, kiss on the lips that slowly got more and more heated each second that passed.

But...unfortunately you were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard Mel's voice, calling out your name.

"Y/n! Y/n! Are you there?! Y/n!!"
"Ah! Oh...'m sorry, Mel. I was just- lost in my thoughts." You replied, chuckling a little afterwards.
"What're you thinking about, hm?" Melanie asked, continuing to walk down the aisle that you guys were in which was filled with snacks. She wasn't gonna lie, she threw a few treats in the basket as you guys walked.

Your face went a little red at that.

"U-Uh...w-we can save that for-for another time." You said, a nervous smile on your face.
"Aw, cmon! Y'know I hate cliffhangers!" Melanie exclaimed, giving you a pouty face.
"I'm sorry, Melly bean. But I can't tell you right now."

Melanie let out a 'hmph!', but continued walking anyway.
You smiled, knowing that whenever you did actually have your guy's first kiss, she'd most definitely love it.
Hopefully.

Few more minutes of walking and both of you guys reached the cosmetics aisle. Your guy's favorite aisle in the whole entire store, actually!

"Baby, look at this lipstick!" You exclaimed, picking up a reddish-pink lipstick and swatching it on your hand.
Melanie walked over to you and looked at the bit you swatched on your hand, a smile spreading across her face.
"I bet that color would look absolutely stunning on you, baby girl." She said, looking up at you with a certain smile that said something.
It said something.
But you just couldn't place your finger on it.

"You think so?" You replied, looking back over at all the other lipsticks.
"I don't think so, I know so, lovebug. Cmon. You should get it!" Melanie squealed, wrapping her arms around your waist and picking you up a little.
You giggled and nodded your head.
"A-Alright, Mel. I'll get it, just for you. But I have to do something first." You said, watching as Melanie let go of you and stared at you in confusion.
"What do you mean? Whaddya gotta do?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"This."

You applied some of the lipstick onto your lips and smiled, before placing it in the basket and walking closer to Melanie. And closer. And closer.
Melanie was confused as hell for the first few seconds of this, but as soon as she realized what you were trying to do, she smirked.
She switched positions with you so instead of her being back against the wall you were and didn't even give you enough time to blink before she grabbed your wrists, placed them above your head and smashed her lips onto yours.

"Mmm!" You yelped, but eventually a smile crept onto your face and you giggled against Melanie's soft, plump lips. Melanie giggled back.
This is exactly what you wanted.
She let go of your wrists and snaked her hands around your waist, pressing herself farther into the kiss, not caring if people could see, not caring if people were staring, not caring if people were telling their children that this was gross and to never be like the both of you. Even though it wasn't gross. You and Melanie belonged. Really, truly belonged. Belonged right next to each other. In each other's hold. Every second of your guy's lives.
And the both of you realized that as the kiss continued.

The kiss continued on until the store closed.
Wow.

But that was the story.
Of the cosmetics aisle.
