Flopping on her bed, (Y//N) reminisced about what had happened at school that day. However, her smile and happy mood swiftly changed once she remembered what Kyoya and Renge wanted her to do, 'A violinist for the Host Club, huh.'

The idea seemed so stupid, she barley knew any of the club, and if she did join, the girls at school would have it out for her! Just imagining them and their insane jealousy was enough to put her off the idea of joining for a millennium. She just wanted a normal school experience, not one with obsessive fangirls hunting her down with pitchforks or knives. She really did not want to join that club.

"Dinner is ready, Miss (Y/LN), please come downstairs now. Your Father is here tonight. I'm sure you do not want to be late for him, do you?" her maid spoke in an inpatient tone, snapping her back to reality.

"Yeah, I'll be right down."

--

Her dad was never home. She barley saw him, and whenever she did, it was dull, boring, and over quickly. As cruel as it was, he didn't care about her. She was the youngest sibling. Her two older brothers and her older sister was before her to inherit his business, so - to be realistic - everybody knew (Y/N) had no chance of becoming successor; that was why nobody in her family cared for her.

Well, apart from her mother; she was sweet, but always away due to work being a model, so it was just (Y/N), her siblings, and their maids at home most of the time, with the occasional visit from her Father, of course. Her Mother tired her best to come home on important events, birthdays and such. Kai, her older brother, also cared; he was always busy with work to really try and connect with her though.

Her Father's sudden appearance meant bad news. He had something to share, she could just sense it.

--

Trudging downstairs with a knot of anxiety in her stomach, (Y/N) mentally noted every positive thing she'd done withing the last month. This was in-case  her Father's news concerned her, especially if it was bad news.

She found her seat at the dinner table, addressing her Father and siblings with a brief nod before thanking the maids and chefs for your meal.

Tensions were rising; everybody knew there was important news to be heard.

"Ahem," her father cleared his throat. "Hello everybody," he spoke in a loud, clear voice. (Y/N) muttered a hello, accompanied in unison with her siblings. "Nice to see you again. I have a matter I need to discuss with you all... well, it concerns (Y/N) more than anything," he continued, staring at the girl, who was now as pale as snow.

Worry washed over her in a flurry as she recalled all the things her Father could possibly want her for.

"Yes Father, what is it, may I ask?" she spoke in the politest tone she could, wanting to not anger him in the slightest.

"You know you're useless to this family, don't you, girl?" he spat as he looks down at his youngest.

"Yes, I'm aware," she barrenly replied, picking at her food and avoiding eye contact with anybody at the table.

"Good. You have no chance of becoming head of the (Y/LN) business, so, I have found you a husband. If you cannot be good for business, you'll be good for giving our family a reputable name with a happy little family of your own," he deadpanned.

A silence fell over the already gloomy room. Arguing with her Father's words was pointless, so she simply accepted it. "When will I meet him?"

"A month," he replied, before pushing his chair outwards and exiting the dining room.

That was the conversation over.

--

"Hey, um, (Y/N)?" Kai, (Y/N)'s older brother, said slowly. "I know Father was harsh back there, I'm sorry he's like that. I'm sure he's picked out a lovely suitor for you..." he smiled and rubbed his sisters back. He was the only one of the (Y/LN) siblings who had ever cared for her.

"Thanks, Kai."
