Chapter 1 Arguing

Keith's Pov

      We had just gotten back from a pretty intense mission. We were able to take down a lot of the galra but we also took a heavy amount of damage to the castle. So we decided to lay low until we could make all the repairs, and since everythings has been so quiet Pidge suggested that we stay low for a little while longer so they can make some well needed upgrades.

      It had been 1 movement (week) of laying low and I'm starting to go crazy. Everywhere I go Lance is always right there and he's always making snarky or mean comments - I'll admit I wasn't the most mature about it either but he was really starting to piss me off. The two of us had been arguing more than usual and it was clear that the team was getting fed up with it.

      It wasn't like I didn't like Lance, he just got on my nerves, and for a little while I thought we really could be friends. But I guess it's clear that he really does hate me. Which kind of sucks because I really like him, like REALLY like him; way more than I should. But that's just the way it goes i guess, i mean every gay guy falls for a straight guy at least once right.

      Allura called a meeting to go over the remaining repairs so we all gathered in the command center.

"We have quite a bit more repairs to do so I'd like for us all to work together to fix these problems quickly and efficiently." She said while looking over at Lance and I, and so did everyone else and I understand why. But when Lance noticed I think he was quite offended by this.

"Why are you all looking at me?" he said, quickly looking at everyone; confused and annoyed.

"Uhh maybe because you and Keith have been bickering like an old married couple during marriage counseling" Pidge said with a big smug smile on their face. It took everything in me not to blush at the fact that they called us a couple and a married one at that.

"WHAT!?" Lance yelled, slamming his hands on the table and standing up fast, which kind of startled me.

"1 Keith and I are not a couple!" he said, holding up one finger. I know Lance and I would never actually be together but it still hurts hearing him say it out loud.

"It's just a figure of speech Lance," Pigde said, crossing their arms.

"Well whatever, and 2 it's not my fault Keith always wants to pick fights with me" he said pointing at me. And that's when I lost it. I stood up from my chair fast making a loud noise almost knocking the chair over. I quickly knocked his hand out of my face and started yelling at him.

"What do you mean picking fights, you're the one starting it!" i yelled and shoved a finger to his chest

"What!? You're the one always looking down on me and trying to show off!" he yelled while getting up in my face.

"Looking down on you? Showing off? What are you talking about?"

"Oh don't act like you're not doing it on purpose, you think you're so much better than me huh?" Before I could make a comeback shiro slams his metal hand on the table causing us both to jump and stare at him in shock. Shiro was never one to get violently angry.

"That's it; the two of you have gotten on my last nerve." He said letting out a big sigh.

"Allura, how long do you think it would take to make all the repairs and upgrades without these two" he looked at her, not paying any mind to the confused face on everyone. Allura thought for a tick (sec) and then said

"There are still a lot of repairs to make and with the upgrades I'd say about another Movement (week) at least."

"That's perfect; Coran I'd like you to find an uninhabited and safe planet nearby" we all gave him weird looks and this time he acknowledged it. He looked over at us with a blank expression and said.

"These two are going on a little vacation; learn to get along or kill each other, I don't care at this point." and with that he walked out of the room before either one of us could refuse.
