Chapter 4

Peyton's POV

We're all sitting around a long table, getting ready to read this week's script. Sabrina has come back, but her eyes are red and it's pretty obvious she's been crying.

She keeps glancing over at me, then glancing away. I look around. Is this about a new prank war she's been planning? I walk over to her and lightly punch her arm.

"Hey, Sab," I say, grinning.

She just stares at me, as if she can't even speak.

Okay, now that's a little weird. Sabrina NEVER misses a chance to tease me when I punch her. Now she's just not herself.

Michael motions me over.

"Peyton, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Oooh, what did Peyton do now?" Rowan taunts, running over to us.

"Nothing, Row. We just need to talk alone, okay?" Michael responds.

Rowan crosses her arms.

"Is this about his-" she pauses. "Crush on little Brina over there?"

"Shut up!" I yell. People stare. Maybe that was a little too loud.

Rowan smiles mischievously. I know she's got plenty more to say.

"Maybe you should go over to your boyfriend," I say. "Corey!"

Now it's her turn to blush. She runs to the food table.

"Okay then," Michael says, leading me out.

"So, Michael," I say. "Have you noticed anything weird about Sabrina today?"

"Well, Peyton, she and Bradley-"

"Yeah, I know about that. But she won't even talk to me without blushing. What's up with her?"

"Well, I'd guess it's about what I have to tell you," Michael answers. "You and Sabrina have a kiss scene this episode."

"What?" I practically shout.

"I wanted to let you two know ahead of time so it wouldn't be too much of a shock when you read the script today."

"Me and Sabrina?" I ask.

"Yup, you and Sabrina," Michael laughs. "Unless you have feelings for someone else?"

"No I like Sa-" I stop myself. Shoot, no one was supposed to know that. Except Rowan pretty much told him anyways.

"Yes, I know you do. Now go back to the table. We're gonna start the read through soon."
