Felix awkwardly held the device, unsure if it's exact purpose or what it was
Vega spoke up, trying to help the confused boy "Sir it's a watch, like the man said, put it on your wrist"
Felix exaggeratedly rolls his eyes before sliding it on his wrist. The watch compresses onto his wrist to perfectly fit it, adjusting to his size.
Miguel sighs and jumps in the portal, annoyedly saying "I'll have Gwen give you the tour, since you two seem buddy buddy."
Felix looks around, sighs and chuckles to himself, if he goes in he might not come out, but if he doesn't he might disappoint his new friends. In a rash decision he runs through the portal, not even looking back or thinking about his actions.
Felix flies through the portal, jumping through space and realities, seeing so many colors that were foreign to his usual surroundings. Before he knows it, he pops out in Neuva York or Earth 928b. A strange city with flying cars and massive buildings. Felix looked worried as a strange elevator stood before him, it was just a slab of materials, no walls just a floor to stand on. He was hesitant, after all he didn't fully like the idea of hanging upside down for dear life.
"Step on the plate of metal Felix" Vega spoke in an annoyed way, not knowing why he refused.
Felix watched the plate pass a few times before standing on top of it, "I hate height V, didn't I tell you that?"
Vega belts out a robotic chortle "Really? Spider-Man is scared of heights? I thought you were joking when you said that"
Felix sighs, the lift taking him higher and making him breathe a little worse "That's because I can control if I fall or not, this is absolutely uncharted territory, I'm not sure what will happen in this place"
Felix and Vega reach the top of the building and, they see thousands upon thousands of spider people, Felix panics
"V, m...maybe this was a horrible idea, yea? It's a whole lot of" Felix gestures vaguely at everything, "people."
Vega puts pressure on his left shoulder, like an older sister encouraging her little brother "Felix you jumped through the weird portal, deal with the repercussions, ok?"
Felix awkwardly stepped off the lift and was approached by an adolescent girl she was maybe 13 at most. The girl seemed to be studying the boy, like a computer programmed to figure out the most optimal chess move.
Felix looked down on the girl, not in a "I'm superior" way but in a confused way.
"Are you lost? Why are you staring at me? Who are you?-" Felix rapidly asks the child.
"Are you the new guy my dad brought in, Felix Hardy?" The preteen cuts Felix off.
A moment of silence hung in the air, before Felix awkwardly said "That's me, what's it mean to you?"
The girl holds out her hand, in an open handshake "My name is Gabriella O'Hara, my father is the really giant guy in the red and black suit, it has claws on his forearms. He runs this place, I'm not sure if you knew but you were chosen as this weeks SSUS or spider society's unconventional spider. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Felix awkwardly and lightly shakes the girls hand, "Thanks? He didn't mention that I was chosen," Felix chuckled, "he did say he wanted my AI, Vega."
"Ah, well he isn't always 100% honest with spiders in the SSUS category they are usually criminals. When he was researching you, your records didn't seem too bad. However, you are the son of a Felicia Hardy so we are less inclined to trust you; but from what I've heard from Lyla, you've started to walk your own path, no?"
Felix is clearly uncomfortable, from people knowing things about his personal life to the "off-the-bat" mention of distrust.
"What do you want, Gabriella?" Felix spoke with an icey edge, not anger, but annoyance "If I'm someone you shouldn't trust, why are you here?"
Gabriella sighs "I want to give you a tour of the Spider Society, since you might be treated with a bit of skepticism, I want to help you."
Gabriella walks ahead of Felix, motioning him to follow.
