Felix stood, arms draped to his side, like a limp body standing. He leans into his shoulder, whispering to his assistant "V? Any ideas?"
Vega whispered back "What? I don't have any knowledge on her, what am I supposed to do? She seems sincere and kind, maybe for once in your life, it would be a good idea to trust her"
Felix's voice raises, barely enough so that the daughter of Miguel hears "You know what happened when I trusted someone blindly, you are the product of my failure to choose good people to trust. If I didn't die in that alley you wouldn't exist and I'd be a normal kid."
Gabriella looks back, her eyebrows raised "We don't got all day, Hardy. Stop chatting people up and cmon."
Moments passed but it felt like decades for Felix, time felt like it was still, he was frozen in place; he was a deer in headlights. Felix quickly raised his fist to strike himself before....
Twip-
Gabriella shot a web at his arm, preventing him from moving it. While she didn't want him to hurt himself, she realizes she was overstepping, "Oh-... Felix, I'm sorry. I just don't like to see others hurt themselves. I overstepped, I know, it's just you have no reason to hurt yourself. So don't, ok?"
Felix grit his teeth, trying not to show anger while he spoke "You haven't lived nearly enough lives to tell me what to do, child. I'm fucking Spider-Man, I'm The Weaver, I will do whatever the hell I want to."
If there was any background conversations, they were on pause because people seemed to be staring at the two arguing spiders
Felix's eyes narrowed "Such a warm welcome, OHara. Truly thankful to be here," Felix walked next to her, "just get this tour over with."
The two walked in mostly silence, occasionally the girl talked about the facilities the society offered but Felix wasn't listening; she knew that too.
"Hey. Hey! HEY! Earth to Felix, are you even listening?" The girl questioned.
"I've been listening." Felix lied through his teeth, granted Vega was listening and she could tell him.
"Alright, name one thing I've talked about and what it is/does?" Gabriella asks confidently
Felix would roll his eyes, unbeknownst to him that he was being lead to Miguel's office "Whatever, Gabriella, Whatever."
The two reach a door, it opens automatically, revealing a dimly light long hall. Felix pipes up and jokes "Is my punishment, for not listening, death?"
The preteen scoffed and patted his back, "Have fun, Felix, I'll give you a tour where you'll genuinely pay attention someday."
Gabriella walked back and the doors shut behind Felix, no going back now.
