jeremiah was scared, terrified actually because viviana was angry — no she was furious
she was angry at belly, which meant she probably was angry at him too as he was the one who dragged her along to crash belly's date
so as he found her tanning on the beach, he almost walked back home, but deciding against the voice in his head screaming at him to go back home
he walked towards the girl and took a seat beside her as he noticed her body immediately tense as she looked away from the book she was reading to him
she seemed to relax a bit once her eyes connected with his, just as a soft look passed her features it was quickly whipped away and replaced with her normal expression
which could be described perfectly as a bitch resting face
"what are you doing?" jeremiah started a conversation only receiving a raised brown from the girl
"what does it look like?" viviana sassed as jeremiah coughed "i mean what are you reading"
viviana only showed him the cover of her book then went back to reading it "can you at least pretend to tolerate me?" jeremiah huffed
"no one is around" just as the words left her mouth jeremiah scoffed " what belly said was true anyway"
viviana didn't speak for a few moments that jeremiah thought she was actually hurt by what he said — not that he even cared — but as he turned towards her, he saw her with a raised brow
"does it look like I care about what either of you think of me fisher?" viviana sassed as jeremiah scoffed
"so you like when people just dislike you and hate — " viviana didn't wait to hear what he had to say " i don't care jeremiah , not everyone is a golden retriever"
jeremiah and viviana sat in silence, neither saying anything until jeremiah stood up abruptly and gave the girl a glare "we agreed to help each other" jeremiah kept his voice low even though it was hard "so get your shit together and be nice to belly"
"whatever." and just like that, jeremiah walked away leaving behind a glaring girl who kept her glare directed towards the water
the only thought going through her head was why did he think viviana owed him anything? why couldn't people just leave her alone?
so she sat there for an hour, just in her thoughts, she couldn't bring herself to move, not until she felt a tear escape her eye that she quickly started gathering her things and walked back home
