Chapter 3: Surprise

Weeks had passed after I had that conversation with my dad and to be honest, we were striving and orders are coming in as they are supposed to but the big guy has not come to collect his part of the profit, and I was getting anxious so I called my dad "Hey sweetie what's up?" He asked answering the phone. "Well, the big boss has not come to pick up his half of things." I declared "I will call him and let him know okay? I will call you back and let you know what's up." He said soon hanging up, calling Dwyatt "Hello Michael." He answered you could hear the cockiness in his voice. "So you have not come to pick up your half of things, is something wrong?" My dad asked, "Yes I know, but the question is when were you going to tell me that you put your daughter in charge, let alone tell me that you had a daughter?" He asked angrily. "Well, I didn't think it was that serious." Said my dad not caring. "I was under the impression that you would hand it over to August because he was your right-hand man." Dwyatt declared, "Yeah, you see I considered that but I felt that my daughter was more qualified for the position, I have taught her everything she knows since she was old enough to write in cursive." Said, my dad as Dwyatt had grown silent as they sat on the phone. "Fine, but I am going to need to meet with her as soon as possible, preferably at my office." Said Dwyatt breaking the silence, "I will have her come in today." Said, my dad, "Good, that's what I like to hear." Said Dwyatt hanging up. I had been busy training when my phone started to ring. "Hey, dad what's up?" I asked. "He said that he needs to meet with you today," Said my dad. "Really? Okay sounds good." I said nervously. "Wear something appropriate, please." He requested. "Alright, will do. Thank you." I said hanging up. "Everything okay?" Said August as he walked over to me, "Yeah, I have to go out for a bit, can you keep an eye on things?" I requested grabbing my jacket and some files. "Yeah, sure where are you off to?" He asked, "I have a last-minute meeting so I will see you guys in a few hours." I replied, "Alright." He said as I walked out the door to my car, leaving making a stop at my house to change into my form-fitting black dress and my most business type of heels placing my hair in a bun and brushing my bangs down, and made my way to the office, it was about a 45-minute drive to get there, but I made it and parked my Jeep and headed inside. "Can I help you miss?" Asked the secretary, "I am Michael Nelson's daughter, I am here for a meeting." I replied as she started dialing a number, "Nelsons daughter is here." she said to someone on the phone and motioned for me to go up, I nod and make my way up to an already opened door, I could see a tall figure sitting in a chair. "Come on in." Said the tall figure I recognized that voice as I walked in as they turned to face me and I was shocked "Your Michaels' daughter?" He said and laughed "Small World huh? we've already met, but why am I here today?" I questioned as I sat down across from him. "Well for starters I don't like drama, I heard you had an altercation with some of Drewcifers guys." He said eyeing me from across the desk, "Okay look in my defense they were on our side of the city and going through our safe houses." I said angrily placing the files on the desk. "They what?" He said confused, I chuckled and leaned on the desk "I take it they didn't tell you everything? Look if I would not have shown up either someone would have been killed or they would have taken something." I said leaning back "I will look into it, and I apologize on his behalf I asked him to see if he could find out who took over for Michael I figured he would have asked his dad." He replied apologetically as I go to leave he then said "I am not through with you." I let out a hard sigh and look at him "My dad has already gone through everything I need to know." I said with an attitude as he smirked "I was gonna see if you wanted to get a drink with me." He said. I smiled and replied "Sorry I don't date my bosses." He leaned back "Nobody said date I simply wanna get to know you." He replied as I place my hand on the door "I will send in my resume." I said walking out the door as he yelled "Fine be like that!" I shook my head and left the building and headed back to HQ not realizing what I was about to walk into. "What do you mean the shipments not here Jessie?!?" August asked angrily, "I mean it's not here either it was stolen or never delivered." Said Jessie as I walked in "She is not going to be happy about this." Said August as he turned around meeting my gaze "What exactly am I not going to be happy about?" I asked as I looked at August "The new shipment isn't here." Said, Jessie scared "Get me the surveillance, immediately." I demanded as he nodded and walked off doing as I asked. An hour had passed when Jessie called and I make my way to security with August trailing behind me. "Alright, show me what you found." I said sitting in the chair as he pressed play, I could make out a male figure with a Kitana on his back. "Who the hell is that?" I asked August "That is Drewcifer no doubt." He replied as I got up and stormed out to my vehicle and sped off to Drewcifers side of the city, as I arrived some of his minions were outside. "Where the hell is he?!" I hollered with my bat over my shoulder. "No need to holler I'll take you to him," He replied leading the way. "You people are really starting to piss me off." I said agitated as he leads me inside of the building, "You people?" Liam scoffed saying this as we stopped at a large door as he motioned me to continue alone. I walked in meeting the gaze of a very tall male as he began to speak "About time you showed your face." Said Drewcifer "Ha Ha Ha funny, just give me my shipment back," I said with an attitude. "Not so fast," He said shaking his head "Let's make a deal Mrs. Nelson," He spoke taking a seat. "No out of the question I don't strike deals with people who steal from me." I said still standing by the door "I just want a list of your vendors." He said menacingly as I laugh, "You want me to give you my vendors, No not happening get your own." I replied as he got up and walked over to me "Come on my vendors are charging me more than what they should be." He said trying to look sad, "No, these are the vendors my dad chose and as his daughter, I refuse to give you any lead over me. Now I suggest you give me what's mine or the next time I come back I will put you in a cast." I said starting to leave, "You think you scare me?" He replied blocking my way. "You should be scared because what I did to your guy David will be a much worse fate for you." I said with a smile as he walked away from me as I left in silence making my way to my jeep, I must have got through to him because my shipment was waiting for me outside as I smiled to myself they should be afraid because I am not a force to be reckoned with
