Chapter 9: Preparations To Be Made

Dwyatt and I have been engaged for a few months with business going up we both work a lot but have not had any time to make preparations for the big day. "Dad I understand that you're anxious, but Dwyatt and I are very busy," I spoke to my dad over the phone as he questioned when we were gonna tie the know. "Alright, alright." He said in a huff, I shook my head and laughed. "Dad when we decide you will be the first to know okay? I promise." I said happily as I sat at the counter skimming through magazines. "Alright, I will talk to you later okay? I love you." He responded cheerfully, "I love you too dad take care." I said hanging up and sigh and then look up Drewcifers number and call. "Hello? who is this?" He answered, "Yo it's Mileena Nelson, I have a proposition for you, meet me in an hour." I said hanging up and made my way to my car. I made it to the meeting spot and see Drewcifer, "What do you want?" He asked as I got out of the car. "I have a proposition for you," I said walking closer pulling out an envelope handing it to him "What's this?" He asked taking the envelope and opening it. "This is to buy your half of what your father handed down to you, you still keep your name on it but I am letting August takeover for a while and I want you both to team up and work together." I declared confidentiality, "You expect me to just roll over and do that?" He laughed handing back the envelope but I push it away "I've seen you guys have been slacking in sales Drewcifer, and I have preparations to make for the upcoming future, think about okay?" I said walking away from him back to my vehicle and drive off. On the other side of town, Dwyatt was making preparations of his own. "Lisa, cancel my next appointment I am going out to lunch with Leena." He said over the speaker getting his things together and exiting the building. His phone rang as he was driving, "Hey beautiful, where are we going for lunch?" He said happily. "Well, I was thinking we go get some sub sandwiches and have lunch at the park I'll pick them up," I said to him pulling into the sub shop. "I will go set up okay beautiful?" He suggested, "Alright I will see you soon." I replied hanging up. I got the sandwiches and made my way to the park arriving to see Dwyatt under the gazebo, "About time you showed up." He said jokingly as I walked over to him with lunch, "Haha, come on let's eat I am starving." I said sitting down and grabbing out my sandwich and handed him his. We sat there eating and talking. "So while we are wedding planning you're putting August in charge and want him to team up with Drewcifer?" He laughed, "Hey I don't think it's a bad idea I feel like it's time to combine the two gangs to come together let's face it Drewcifers going under because he doesn't have the proper clientele coming in, I mean it will be a matter of time." I explained. He sat there and looked at me for a minute and finally said "Alright, I'll see what I can do to push them together." I smiled and hugged him "Besides my dad won't leave me alone about the wedding so." I proclaimed as my phone rang, "Who is it?" Dwyatt asked. "It's Drewcifer," I said answering the phone "Yes?" I asked. "Alright, we can combine the gangs okay?" He said, "Okay, we will announce it tomorrow you made the right choice." I said hanging up Dwyatt looked at me happily and kissed me "Congrats babe." He said pulling me into a hug, we sat there for another hour and made plans for the future my heart full of joy. "Alright, babe I better get back to the office, do you wanna come over tonight?" He smiled standing up gripping my hands ever so gently, "Yes I would love to as long as there is Chinese involved." I joked standing up as he nodded, after saying our goodbyes we went our separate ways, I made my way over to HQ and him to his office until nightfall. As nightfall approached I went home and picked up some essentials a drive over to his house and went inside to rose petals and candles leading the way to the bathroom, "Babe? Are you home?" I called out and walked into the bathroom I was shocked to see a bath had been drawn. "Go ahead babe you deserve it." Said a voice behind me, "I turn to see Dwyatt holding Chinese food and a bottle of wine. " Romantic, I love it." I blushed and undressed getting in the tub laying back feeling at peace all my worries drifted away. "The perfect temperature." I smile and look over to him as he poured a glass of wine and handed me my food. I replied with a smile and a kiss, "Are you ready for tomorrow?" He asked ad I sip my wine and eat my food and just nod. I finished eating and washed up proceeding to get dressed for bed as Dwyatt picked me up bridal style and carried me to his bed. We spent the cuddling and watching movies until fell fast asleep. "No words can express how you make me feel Mileena, I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found you when I needed you most and didn't even know it." He spoke these words and kissed my head holding me closer as every minute passed his eyes grew tired, he too fell asleep with a big smile on his face as he dreamt of the future and what comes next in his life.
