It's seven o'clock in the morning and the sun is already up, which is far from the case for me. Everything seems so far away, whether it's the birds singing or the sounds of civilisation. I wish so much that I could have had a few more hours of sleep, but I didn't, especially not with Maya by my side. She was insistent on spending more time with me, even though I was in the mood for a bit of an early night. So we spent most of the night together, watching films and talking about her exes. And of course she couldn't stop talking about me and Kevin.

I remember this phrase she kept repeating to me: "Things may or may not work out between you, but don't forget to have fun and live every moment as if it were your last." This phrase kept running through my head all evening, leaving me stunned.

But Maya didn't stop there. She started drinking and talking about her past sexual experiences, all the while dancing to some rather suggestive music, and ended up dragging me into her madness. In short, Maya and I had an eventful night.

A gust of wind hit my face, reminding me that I had spent the whole night without closing my bedroom window. Lazily, I got up from my bed to finally close it.

Once I had done that, I took a moment to breathe and think about the long day ahead of me. In the end, I decided to go back to bed to continue the sleep I had left unfinished. As soon as I had managed to close my eyes, I heard the doorbell ring.

The first question that came to my mind was, "Who could ring at this hour?"

I glanced at my alarm clock to see that it was now 7.30am, but my eyes were still struggling to open. I got up and let my bare feet touch the cold wooden floor. The sensation was really unpleasant, and I rushed to open the door for the stranger who was standing in front of my house. But as soon as I opened the door, I realised that it wasn't a stranger at all. It was Alex.

Alex is the first friend Maya and I found in this town. He's really cool and nice. He's in his final year at university and we've become really close lately. But I wondered why he was standing outside my door at this hour.

"Hello Margo, I hope I'm not disturbing you. Maya send me To pick up her Phone that she forgot last night."

"OK. Couldn't she do it a bit later?" I said, still tired.

"Yes, but we'll be on our way soon."

"Where are you going?" I asked, a little surprised.

He answered: "Did you forget that we are going camping this weekend? But don't worry, Maya has already informed us that you won't be able to make it as you'll be busy today."

I'd completely forgotten about camping, thankfully Maya had saved the day.

"What is this thing that you're going to be so busy with this weekend, if I may ask?"

His question caught me off guard. "How about we start by looking for Maya's mobile phone."

"Agreed."

The phone finally rang, and to my surprise it was in my dirty laundry basket. I picked it up. When I turned around, I saw Maya coming into my room, panting.

"Phew, you're still here," Maya said breathlessly.

"Why did you come all the way back? I wanted to bring your mobile back," Alex replied.

"I didn't come all the way back here for my mobile phone. I forgot to give this to Margo," she said suddenly, pulling a white envelope out of her bag and handing it to me.

What could this possibly contain?

"What is it?" I asked, unable to take my eyes off the envelope.
