Chapter 4 : Narda's secret

REGINA's POV

I looked at De Leon and she has this shy smile while blushing again around my cousin.
Si Ella tuwang tuwa naman, so go.

Ella excitedly gave me the good news.

"It's just the right time pala, Reggie! I just happened to call at the right time because of their upcoming 25th Foundation Anniversary and y'know the Director himself returned my call for proposal. Parang sinadya lang ah."

I winked at my cousin and smirked.

"Of course! I established my firm just the same date."

Ella grinned widely and shook De Leon by the shoulders. De Leon naman naguguluhan.

"Oh my gosh! Reggie! I bet Kuya Leo was not expecting this. So tell me, what's gonna happen?"

She looked at De Leon beside her.

"Oh, nga pala. Is it okay for Narda to hear about this?"

I waved my hand nonchalantly.

"Don't worry about it. She's my new secretary."

"HO?" "Weh?"

De Leon and Ali both exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow at Ali who was grinning, then ignored him.

"We'll talk about it later." I told De Leon.

"Teka lang ma'am, di ako ready! Baka gutom lang po yan." De Leon looks natataranta. "Eh teka, paano po si Ma'am Xandra? Trabaho nya po to."

Geez, bakit hindi nalang sya magpa-salamat that I promoted her?
I exhaled in annoyance at the mention of Xandra.

"Fine! This is Xandra's last day. Tutal mukha namang ikaw nagawa ng mga trabaho nya then you can have it so panindigan mo ngayon De Leon." I said and she was taken aback.

She pouted and rubbed her nape.

"Madali naman po yun ma'am, tsaka may mga free time po ako para sa simpol paperwork."

I rolled my eyes. Is she for real?

"Tanggapin mo na kasi." Ali told her tapos nag-aalinlangan pa syang tumingin sakin.

"Look, I talked to Fernandez. They confirmed Xandra dumps nearly all work to you exception for business calls, signing and some. I don't pay slackers. Ali backed you up you know when to shut your mouth kaya si Ali ang may pananagutan kung madaldal ka. That's all I can tell you. Right now, your job is to listen dahil partners kami ni Ella for this project. Do you understand?"

Ella was snickering sa pagka-bigla ni Ali na parang binuhusan ng malamig.
So now he's shaking his head and De Leon was trying not to smile when she glanced at him.

"Bakla wag ganun." Bulong ni Ali kay De Leon. "Wag! Walang dayoff."

I gave him a look tapos nagkunwari syang di nya nakita. Siya kaya di ko bigyan ng dayoff?

"Ma'am ano-"

"20k signing bonus in cheque today. 50k per month, complete benefits. Wherever I go, you go. Sagot ko expenses." And paused at another thought then smiled. "Sagot din regular checkups and maintance ni Lola, and scholarship for your brother basta take care of the requirements."

De Leon's stared at me jawdropped and I pat myself on the back. Tingnan natin kung makinig pa sya kay Ali.

And I was right.

She nodded eagerly.

Si Ali hinawakan nalang ulo nya in defeat. Ella laughed and hugged De Leon again, making me roll my eyes because all these touching and hugging from Ella is just too much.
