I wake up to the sun shining into my window. Smiling I hop out of bed humming and getting dressed. I have to get ready to work at the Kasey's Tavern today. Oh, I almost forgot, hey I am Maria Black. I am 22 years old and love nature and the sea. I know I should hate the ocean, especially since my parents passed away in a ship wreck when I was 7. But no matter how hard I try I just keep going back to it. Anyway finally I finished getting dressed all I had to do was put on my boots and I could head out the door.

15 Minutes Later
I make it into the Tavern to see Kasey and Riley already here.
"Hey, guys it looks like a slow morning," I tell them and they look up smiling at me
"Hey, How is your morning going?" Riley asks and I don't get to speak before Kasey says it for me.
"The morning and smell of the sea is always beautiful...she says the same thing every day," Kasey says chuckling. I and Riley begin to laugh.
"We need you waiting tables tonight," Kasey says and I nod
"The pirates are all coming back from their sails today," She says and I smile.
9 Hours Later
Just like Kasey said the pirates came back from their sails today and we have a full tavern tonight. The music plays as I and Riley serve men their grog.
"Sweet heart, 2 more over here!" Jaxson says and I nod. I have known Kasey, Riley, and Jaxson since I was a kid. They are great people and always help when I need it.
"Here you go Jax," I say handing him his 2 grogs.
"Thanks, sweetheart." He says and I nod as I begin to walk away he grabs my arm making me look back.
"Why don't you sing tonight, sweetheart? We need some entertainment besides this boring old music." He says as he lets me go
"Oh, no...Plus I believe the band is...great?" But it came out as more of a question
"BOYS DO YOU WANT SOME REAL ENTERTAINMENT!?" He yells
"ARRR!" The pirates all yell back holding up their grogs
"See, please? One song?" He asks and I roll my eyes and nod.
I run over to the band making them stop playing.
"This one is for the pirates!" I exclaim
"ARR!" I hear back making me smile. The band begins to play and I begin to dance around singing.

"WELCOME HOME PIRATES!" I yell standing on a table
"ARR!" I hear and cheers erupt in the tavern. I smile getting off the table. But when I do I bump into someone.
"Oh my goodness, sorry," I say chuckling, and look up to see a handsome man. But when I look over I see someone who looks just as good.

"No worries, darling. That was some nice singing and dancing," The man says steading me on my feet.
"Why, thank you..." I stop realizing I don't know his name.
"I am Alistair Stone and this is my brother Archer Stone," He says pointing to the man next to him. I give him a soft smile to which he just ignores.
"Well, I am Maria Black," I tell him holding out my hand to which he happily shakes. When he lets go I feel someone slap my ass. I hold up my pointer finger at him and swiftly grab my dagger under my dress holding it up to the throat of the man who slapped my ass.
"DON'T. FUCKING. TOUCH. ME." I tell him in a venomous voice which makes him look shocked but he nods.
"Apologize," I say to him
"I-I-I am sorry, Miss." He says and I put the dagger back under my dress and nod.
"Thank you, sir," I say giving him a sweet smile. I turn back around to see the two men shocked.
"Sorry about that. But I do have to get back to my job," I say to them and they nod but when I try walking away one of them grabs my arm. I turn to see it is the man who ignored me.
"Join my crew?" He asked me and I stood there shocked.
