He works in construction and odd jobs, if someone invites him to their house he'll start fixing up their things, it's almost like his love language.
He also used to run a car business before Daphne died, back in the 70-80s 😎
He loves to work with his hands and also wood works, build, and leather works as hobbies
He built most of his cars from scratch, unless he could get a good deal for them
He's very bad with complex English words, so he'll break it down with words he knows, he also struggles with difficult phrases and takes things too literally.
A huge hobby of his is to do viking reenactments, where him and his nerdy buddies pretend to be vikings, his father had always told him of his ancestors who were Vikings and he aspires to be as brave and strong as them
It's a lot like the Renaissance fair but with less mythical creatures.
It's the only time he'd dress up for something, other than that he mainly wears tank tops and sweat pants.
He loves punny dad shirts and jokes about having a dad bod, even though he's mainly toned and ripped. He only has a little bit of a stomach but that's from recent years because of his binge drinking
He has a lot of grey hairs from working a lot and raising his 4 kids.
All his kids are adults by now and all have their own lives going on, so Edasi doesn't see them that often, but when they come to visit it's one of the most important things to him
He only loved one woman in his life and that was the mother of his children, Daphne, who passed away due to a random robbery/hit and run. She was 54 years old and Edasi was 49
They had been married for 29 years before she passed, a few days before their 30th anniversary.
They married when he was 20 and she was 25
Daphne had been married before she met Edasi, the man had been abusive and she soon left him after a year of marriage
she had met Edasi at her college and befriended him, he soon convinced her to divorce the abusive man and was with her every step of the way
Edasi claims that he fell in love with her as soon as he saw her and when Daphne was alive, she always said that as soon as he said hi to her that she knew she would marry him.
Everyone around them saw that they were perfect for each other.
Ever since her death he's been dealing with extreme depression and some anxiety; always carrying some sort of weapon for defense and being weary around people who looked like the criminals who killed Daphne.
He's Norwegian and has lived in Norway his whole life.
Because of Norwegian laws, the teens who killed Daphne never had any jail time and had been released after a few months in therapy, because of this he is constantly terrified about seeing them in public.
He has refused any therapy treatments because he doesn't like talk through his emotions with anyone but his family and friends
He shuts out most of his negative emotions and bottles them up, causing him to drink more then he should when alone.
He fought in the Korean war
Daphne's family came from Korea and so she asked him if he could go fight for the USA
he, of course, did it because she asked and served for 3 years.
His time there wasn't "too bad" by his own words, but he's still unpacking some trauma
He has no want to get together with a woman, but does see himself able to be in a relationship with a man; as long as the man doesn't remind him of his wife
He knows he'd never love anyone the same way he loved Daphne, but is willing to love someone else in a different way, to him he feels that she would want him to try to continue dating or to find someone who makes him happy
He drinks a lot to cope but is terrible with his alcohol. He's a very sad drunk, if anything reminds him of Daphne he'll start crying, soon crying himself to sleep. He's low-key pathetic when drunk-
As a child he was a sailor with his father where they fished for money.
His father was very harsh on him as a child, which made him swear to never hurt his children in any way, a promise to himself that he has always kept. Even though his father and mother were harsh on him, he still loves them and looks back on some of the memories in a positive light. He understands now a lot of what his parents did and how they did it wrong, he's learning from their mistakes.
He would put his children above any future relationship he might be in.
He'd never let his children see him drunk.
He has many tattoos, including one on his back with his children's names and birthdays and one with his wife's name, birth, and death day.
He also has a tattoo on his chest, as seen in the picrew of him, and he has some on his arms of sea monsters, all some his father had claimed to see over the years out on the boat, also on his elbows are his parents names, birthdays, and death days.
He loves wearing tank tops to show the tattoos, he sees it as him respecting the tattoo artists and his family because their names are on him.
His oldest child is in his early 40s and his youngest daughter is in her late 20s
He has 3 daughters and one son
His middle children are twins
His son lives in the states,
The twins live in Germany and move around a lot
And the youngest lives in South Africa
He also would totally "adopt" someone, if they live in an abusive or unfit home he'd definitely call the police and then offer the person stay with him for a while, if the person is younger then he'd actually consider adopting them
He's adopted a neighborhood boy for a few years, until the kid had wanted to move out.
The kid at first always wanted to hangout with them, which Edasi later found out was because of his mother, who was mentally/emotionally abusive.
While the kid grew up, he let him stay for as long as he needed and they built cars together.
After adopting the kid, he stayed for a few years at his house, then had plans to move to college, which Edasi and him had saved up for the upcoming years.
He loves taking care of people in his own ways; making a car with them, doing their makeup with them, helping them around the house, etc. etc.
Mans has 3 daughters, you bet he knows how to help with makeup
one of his Twins is a transgender woman, which he supports 100%
As a kid he always helped to support her, getting puberty blockers and later the proper hormones for her, buying her feminine clothes, and always correcting anyone who mis gendered her.
Both him and his wife had been confused about it at first, but supported their child with her choices and Edasi would still beat up anyone who mis gendered her
He's very strong, but sweet, he'd give you the clothes off his back if he sensed you were struggling
He'd help most in need unless he felt threatened. He's been known to be trusting and very kind to strangers, which his children warn him against.
He has fallen for scammers in the past and lost a bit of money ;-;
He sucks with modern technology, opting to just have someone explain it to him, he prefers face to face contact so he always uses facetime
He has an android phone and his text is made quite bigger so he could read it without his glasses. He thinks he looks lame with the reading glasses on and calls it the worst part about getting old
He loved his parents dearly and considers family over everything, his parents did die when he was younger, around 30-40 years old, but due to natural causes
