The Change

Stiles woke up on Monday morning in his room. He was groggy trying to get up, but he felt a weight holding him in bed. He smiled looking at Derek who was holding him with a soft smile on his face as he slept. Stiles kissed Derek waking him up. "Morning beautiful, hope you slept well," Derek said quietly, kissing Stiles on the forehead before jumping as he heard someone walking up the stairs he jumped up getting into the closet as soon as Stiles's dad opened the door. "Morning son, get up and get ready for school. I will be home tonight and thought that we could go out and eat somewhere since we didn't see each other that much unless you're getting yourself into trouble." Stiles nodded awkwardly, falling out of bed as he tried to get up. "Yeah Dad of course, but I'm warning you the pack is super clingy so they may stop by randomly." The sheriff chuckled shaking his head. He was glad his son had friends who looked after him. Then he saw the bite, he got a little panicked coming into the room fully. "Stiles, what happened? Are you ok?" Stiles nodded putting on his shirt and jacket because it was chilly and rainy today. "Yeah Dad, I'm fine. Got hit by a dog because I was stupid enough to think it was nice." The sheriff looked like he didn't believe his son but didn't press it anymore nodding. "Ok kid, I'm headed to work be safe, love you." He said as he was walking out the door. "Love you too Dad!" He said back, he noticed he could hear his dad's heartbeat quicken with worry, and when he didn't believe Stiles. He could also hear Derek's steady heartbeat in the closet. Derek walked out kissing Stiles on the lips and they walked down the stairs together. "Derek I could hear my dad's and your heartbeats?" Derek smiled as he walked his mate to his car. "It's been 3 days Stiles you're starting to get your powers." Stiles smiled back kissing his mate one last time driving to school. When he walked in he saw Scott looking at him his eyes glowing red but he changed normal and he looked confused. "Stiles your eyes, they're red." Stiles followed Scott to their class covering his ears as the bell went off. "God, those are loud." Scott nodded chuckling a little sitting behind Kira. Stiles heard Scott's pulse quicken and smiled. He now understood why Scott was always with Kira.
