"Lost in the labyrinth of my mind"

The sun was already up when Clydeth woke up. Her dream, was weird. But she couldn't remember it, but she felt that it was weird. So weird. It has been her second day, and no nightmares which was a good thing. Perhaps, it was a good to be away from the buzzing and flicking lights from the city. And a good whiff of fresh air from the countryside is what she needs. She smiled at the thought, and head downstairs after taking a bath, she would never survive a day without taking a bath—except when she's sick.

"Good morning, dear Clydeth. Did you have a good sleep?" Jane ask her.

"Oh, yes, I have. Do you need help for breakfast, auntie Jane?"

"No, no. I have already taken care of that. Come now, let's eat." Jane then sit down, followed by Clydeth. "I cooked eggs and a sausage for breakfast, take whatever you like."

"Thanks. Um, where is Lucia?" Clydeth ask curiously, before taking some eggs to her plate along with some cooked rice.

"Lucia, she has work. But she'll back this afternoon, she always does that." Said Jane.

"Really? I don't mean to pry, but doesn't she has her own house?" Clydeth ask, her curiosity burning.

"Yes. She has her own apartment, but we both know each other since 1984 and so did our parents. When she got married in 1994, she of course has her own house but she and her husband, Timothy, lived in the town square so we were basically sees each other. And my fiancee died and lived alone since 1993. But then her husband died ten years ago and she couldn't bear to be reminded of that everyday, so she sometimes sleep here." Jane explained.

Just as Lucia said to Clydeth, when they first meet. Lucia's husband, Timothy Hargreaves have died and Lucia lived alone.

"So, why do have many rooms? Like, you're the only one who lived here, besides Lucia." Jane let out a smile.

"Well, Clydeth, this house is actually my mom's. One for my parents, one for me and the other is a guest room since your mother and I used to have sleepovers over the summer break. The other room, which is the storage room presently, is our only boy cousin's room, Adrian. But mother's collection of antiques and anything that catches her eyes overflow, so the room became a storage room since Adrian had never came back after he got into college." Said Jane.

Clydeth have heard about this story, so it wasn't foreign to her. The three Abbot cousins was very close to each other that every summer break, they would be off the someone's house then the other for the next year. The closest duo was Clydeth's mom and Jane, as Adrian couldn't much relate to girl things. But then something happened in the night of September 1985. Something that changes everything. Adrian left for college, and Carissa left because her father had a job in the city. And so, the relationship of the Abbot cousins were only tied by letters, which stopped coming and going.

Her mother refused to talked about it, but she mentioned something. It was big, and it became the knife of a very strong rope, cutting them permanently.

"Yeah, Mom mentioned that."

"I'm sure she did." Jane only smiled.

The whole morning, the two did nothing big and just sit down and watch television. The two entertained themselves from watching a cooking show, and then Clydeth head to her bed to finish reading her book. It was the classic Alice in Wonderland. It was a kids book, but she cared less.
