Chapter 1: Dark

"Yamada, don't you think this house is nicer?! No this one because it has a blue roof. No wait! I think a tan roof means good luck!" Kyou flipped through the house catalogues. We both agreed to move into a new house since we would finally settle down together.

I went to sit down, and touched my throat. I've been encountering spring fever. I wasn't feeling well, but I didn't want Kyou to noticed since he was so involved into searching for a new house.

The owner of the company looks at me. "Mr. Yamada, you don't want to see the fine houses we offer?" He smiles. This old man seemed to push me into buying all the time, but he was overly friendly to get mad when we don't agree on a house.

"He seems pretty into it." I moved my head towards Kyou who was still deeply skimming the catalog.

"Suit yourself. Is everything okay?" He sits down next to me.

I nodded. "All is okay. I am just tired that's all. It's been a long day."

"It sure is. Maybe we should wrap this up." He calls out to Kyou. "Kusaka! Go home! We finish tomorrow!"

"Okay!" Kyou closes the book, and walks towards me. My head felt light, but I wanted to maintain my calm exterior.

"Shall we go Kusaka?"

"Yes." He smiles softly at me. His eyes glistened at mine, and I formed a tiny smirk.

I got into the driver's seat, and Kyou sat in the passenger's seat alongside me. He looks over, and touches my hand. "I can drive. You look tired."

"It's okay." I shook his hand off. My chest felt tight every time he touches me in any way.

"O-okay." He looks taken aback. I didn't mean to scare him. I tend to give off a hateful vibe, but I just couldn't change my behavior for the better.

I coughed into my arm trying to avoid the hand area. Kyou looks at me with concerned. He must know I'm feeling ill. "I'm fine." I said before he could ask.

"Alright. Just making sure." He smiles. "Tomorrow will be another day at work eh?"

"Right." I didn't feel like making small talk. My throat was overpowering me, and it didn't assist in the situation.

The next morning, I sat in my office chair as the receptionist comes to hand me my mail. "Here is today's letters Mr. Yamada." She smiles, places the letters on my desk, and left.

Scattered across my desk were complaints, and death threats. I received a ton of them ever since I took over the company as president. I opened some to amuse my curiosity.

"Go die! I will kill you. I will sue you." They read nonsense. The letters would come from employees I had fired or just people that weren't satisfied with my products. Why must the world be filled with imbeciles?

"Toss them." I told my assistant. She nods, and gathers the letters to dispose of them.

I went to sit at my desk. I felt my chest. It began to ache. I quickly opened the top left drawer of my desk, and took out pain killers. I have been having terrible chest pains that no medication can cure. My heart ached. Why?

~~~~~~
I came home with a headache in my system. Today I had the house to myself. Myself meaning me, and Kyou. No kids, no worries.
I placed my keys on the counter flat bowl, and went to the bathroom. My bladder has been filled the whole day. I was anxious. I didn't know why.
I unzipped my pant's zipper, and began urinating. It felt soothing. I tore a piece of toilet paper, and wiped the tip before I went to clean my hands.
