Chapter 7: Past

"So would you like to go to the pier?" Kyou asked shyly.

I felt disturbed that this man could contain romantic feelings for me. It has been about two weeks since I've agreed to his absurd agreement in being his lover. I didn't want to nor did I feel content with it. I just couldn't let those pictures be leaked.

"Sure." I replied.

"Come on. I can drive us." He smiles. The side of my lip shot upward slightly, for I was trying to smile, but I just felt ill.

We got into the car, and he digs around his cd collection in the arm rest compartment. "Got it!" He says. He grabs a cd out with a bunch of girls on it. He pops the cd into the slot, and trashy Korean pop music began playing.

"It's this cute girl band called Kara! Aren't they just cute?"

I didn't say anything, and Kyou continues going on about them. "Which is your favorite?" He hands me the disk booklet.

"I don't think that matters." I replied.

"Come on!" He nudges me. This fool thinks we are friends. What an idiot.

I took the booklet, and looked through the fake faces of these girls. They all looked the same to me. I guess the surgeon of Korea ran out of face ideas for these girls. One stood out to me. I pointed to her. "This one." I said uninterested.

"Oh she is Han Seung-Yeon. I figured you would of chosen Nicole since she's my favorite, and most people's favorite." He chuckles.

I sighed. "I'm not really attracted to Korean girls. I just like her smile."

"Oh really?" He looks away. Maybe he's jealous. "I got other music too." He takes out the disk, and pops in a Mejibray cd. I could tell this was a J-Rock cd since I've grown up to that. "Who is your favorite?" He asks.

"They are all men." I replied. Men with beautiful makeup on.

"Exactly. So choose."

"Him." I pointed to Tsuzuku. I was always fond of his uniqueness.

"I like him too." He smiles.

"Okay?" I didn't really need to know his preference in men.

"How about this?" He takes out a One Direction cd.

"I should be questioning why you have such...feminine music choices." Maybe Kyou really is gay, and he doesn't know it.

"Hey this stuff isn't gay. Many guys enjoy the K-Pop because of the girls."

"Okay." I didn't feel like arguing back.

We stayed silent for most of the car ride. I felt awkward sitting next to him, and being in the same car with him. It just didn't settle with me.

When we finally arrived at the pier, it was quite windy. I didn't think today would of been this chilly. "Why did you choose today?" I asked.

"Well not a lot of people come here when it's not warm so...figured some alone time would be nice."

"Okay."

"Hey let's go do some boardwalk games!" He takes my hand, and I shook him off.

"Don't do that. I don't want that." I glared. I hate hand holding in general. The fact that it is a man's hand made it worse.

"Fine." He pouts. "Come on then." He starts walking towards the carnival type game booths, and I followed behind.

I began shivering. I was reckless, and wore only a thin dress shirt out. I didn't want to seem distress in any way so I kept a straight face.
