Inseparable | Bradley Bradshaw

Inseparable.

That is one of the many words that described Grace and Bradley. Some may think it weird that word is used to describe the pair considering Lieutenant Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw flies as a Pilot for the Navy and Grace Bradshaw works as a resident at the UC San Diego Medical Center.

But it's true, despite the misleading due to their jobs the pair were inseparable but perhaps not in the way you'd think. You hear that word and assume they were attached at the hip, constantly in each others presence. But no. It didn't need to have it's traditional meaning. Grace and Bradley knew they were meant to be and nothing else in the world mattered because of it.

It was the commitment the two had for each other, the constant thoughts of each other while they were apart and the knowing that they would always comes home to each other.

Of course flying for the Navy had its risks, and the couple accepted those risks. Bradley had always kept his promises and come home to Grace so she had confidence that he would never break his promise especially now there were going to be changes within their family but lets not jump too far ahead...

You could say they were destined to be together. They were in each others lives ,unknowingly, at a young age and from there they kept crossing paths.

At four year olds Grace and Bradley spent time together on the same Navy Base at Top Gun, unaware of the big part they would play in each others lives. This is because Graces dad, Raymond 'Ray' Miller, worked as an air engineering technician at the same time Bradleys dad, Nick 'Goose' Bradshaw, was training at Top Gun.

At sixteen they were properly introduced and spent a day and night together oblivious to their childhood connection. Bradley had come all the way to Fightertown USA by himself to apply for the Navy after his mother died, but only found disappointment as he discovered his papers had been pulled.

To him, what seemed like a horrible day quickly turned around after meeting Grace as he forgot his troubles and felt a stillness with her presence that made it seem like all his problems had stopped.

Reality soon kicked in for the two teens and after that night they didn't see each other again. They didn't exchange phone numbers to keep in contact and after a few months reminiscing the night that slowly seemed like a dream they moved on with life and forgot.

At twenty four was the official beginning of a long, happy life for Grace and Bradley. Grace had finished school and gone to college to receive a bachelor's degree in biology before making the decision to apply for Medical School in San Diego.

Bradley had finally made it into the Navy, completed his pilot training and received the call sign Rooster with the hopes that he would get a spot in the Top Gun training programme and expand his flying knowledge.

One Evening when Grace was studying for the exams to get into medical school and rooster got the phone call he had been waiting for they bump into each other at the Hard Deck not realising the chain of events they had just set off.

Here it is folks 'Inseparable' hope you enjoyed the prologue and stick around for the rest of the story.

The story will be set 6 years after they met which makes them 30 years old. I will be writing Flashback chapters for Grace and Bradley as Four, Sixteen and Twenty Four year olds and maybe more ;) so don't worry if you were wanting more back story there will be some I just didn't want to overload with dialogue in the prologue.
