Moving was a lot of work. There was so much shit that needed to be packed, moved, and then unpacked. It was incredibly stressful, nearly making me regret accepting the royals' offer. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a good thing. Moving would help us secure a better future hopefully, and besides the actual moving part, it should make life easier for us. Of course, we also have to get over the initial judgment that some royals will have — cough, Zaine, cough — but it would all work out. At least, I hoped it would.

At least, decorating was fun.

"Do you need help with anything else, Alexa?" Aurora inquired. Despite the lack of training and her appearance, she was pretty strong thanks to her royal genes. She helped Olivia and me move our stuff into our rooms. I don't think royals were really supposed to be seen helping rogues, but maybe my views of royals were a tad outdated from old movies I've seen. Either way, I did appreciate her help and her irrelevant commentary.

I smiled, grabbing the last box from her, "Yes, thank you, your highness. You've been very helpful."

"I'm very happy to help! You know, you're not what I expected the Alpha Rogue to be like," she said randomly.

"Oh?" I sat the box down, before turning to her. "How'd you expect me to be like?"

She shrugged, "A big buff sexy man, but also ruthless, ya know?"

I laughed at her description, fully understanding why she would think that. Before becoming a rogue, the stereotypes of rogues and alphas gave me that same image. "I'm sorry to disappoint," I joked, flashing her a smile.

"You didn't!" She quickly said, nodding. "You're still sexy."

We both seemed to blush as we realised what she had just said. Though I doubt she noticed my blush as she seemed too embarrassed. I probably shouldn't make her embarrassment worse.

"You think I'm sexy?" I playfully inquired. Oops ...

She blushed harder, looking at her shuffling her feet. "I didn't say that." She lied, shaking her head.

"You didn't?" I played along.

"Nope! Because if I did, that would be embarrassing," She stated, finally looking at me.

"What would be?" I inquired with a shrug.

"Nothing, because nothing happened," she replied with a nervous smile, before looking at the door. "Well, um, bye!"

And with that, she rushed out the door as quickly as she could. I silently laughed at her, she was really interesting. I was a little sad that she didn't stay though. She could distract me while I unpacked all these stupid boxes. There was just something about the princess that was more charming than her brother, and I think we'll get along pretty great. I've never been the best at making close friends, but I think Aurora and I may end up becoming pretty close the more time we spend together.

Unpacking took about two hours, and then another hour to help Olivia unpack. Her bedroom was right next to mine thankfully. I was nervous about letting her be alone here. It wasn't like our old pack where people respected me and each other, and everyone knew everyone. These people were practically strangers and there was no way to know if they'd harm my daughter if I wasn't near her. I do trust most of the royal family, but there were too many new people here.

Judging from her knowing stare, I think Olivia noticed my nerves. I couldn't do it though. My sole goal in life was to make sure we were both safe — of course now, I have the same goal for my pack as they are like my family I had never had. That's why we moved. We moved for more stability and safety. This place was safe. I just needed to fully believe that.
