Terry's POV

Since I got out early today I decided to head out to Meghan's salon and help her out. Her salon was quite popular and she needed an extra hand. Besides, I missed hanging out with her, you know, just us two.

I had told her what had happened and she couldn't help but lough at my clumsiness. I don't know why I always end up doing something embarrassing.

We were down to the last customer and as soon as she left we both sat down in sync. I don't know how Meghan manages to pull this off everyday. Standing for hours fixing up all types of hair, messy and tangled and all.

"So, you're going out with Aaron huh." Meghan finally spoke after a brief silence. Aaron must have told her we were.

"Yeah, you can join us if you like." I said with a smile.

"No I couldn't... After this I just want to rest. You kids go have fun. I don't wanna ruin the surprise with my presence." Meghan put her hand over her mouth immediately she finished talking.

"Surprise? What surprise?" I asked curiously.

"I've said too much. And don't tell Aaron I said anything ok?" she glanced at her watch, "its almost six, I better get you ready."

"Wait, ready for wh.." Megan places her index finger on my mouth.
"You talk to much, just lemme do my thing ok."
I nodded, partly because I couldn't move my lips, Meghan's finger was sticky with hairspray and it felt disgusting.

After she put on makeup on me she went to the back and came with a dress. A black strap dress that flared out on the waist with a bit of a cleavage. It was so beautiful.

"Here, wear this." Meghan said as she handed the dress to me.

"How did you know black is my color?"

"A little birdie told me. He also told me to get you ready by eight so you better hurry up he's going to be here soon. " She said and gestured me to try it on.

Within moments the dress was on me and it was the perfect fit

Within moments the dress was on me and it was the perfect fit. Meghan's eyes shone with admiration and I cud almost see some wetness in her eyes.

" You look so gorgeous my dear. "she said and I couldn't help but smile.

" Thank you, Meg. "I said as she held her hands against mine.
Just then we heard a car honk outside. I'm guessing it was Aaron. I held out my phone to look at the time.

8:00 PM.

Right on time.

I had worn red spool heels and I hope these ones don't break. I also hope I don't sweat, if I do, there's no hope for this makeup.
I walked out of the salon as Meghan waved goodbye.
Reaching outside I saw Aaron leaning against his car. I walked slowly towards him and I noticed he was staring.

"Wow, you look... Amazing." he simply said and I got that feeling again. It was flattering. He opened the door for me and I mumbled a thank you before getting in. He made his way to the drivers seat and soon we were off.

The car ride was awkward. We usually randomly talk about stuff but this time Aaron was quiet, he seemed to be lost in thought.

"So, where are we going?" I broke the silence.

"Here's a better question, are you capable of blushing because you look gorgeous?" he asked a grin plastered on his face. I could feel the blood rush to my face. I probably looked like a big fat tomato. His words always trigger something in me that I didn't understand.

To be totally honest, these past couple of months I've been feeling... strange whenever Aaron and I are alone. It started when I spent the night at their place when my grandpa was admitted in the hospital. Meghan didn't want me to feel alone so she invited me over. I was scared something bad might happen to him and I couldn't sleep. I cried in silence and I guess Aaron must have heard me. Throughout the night, he comforted me. He was really caring and from time to time he placed light kisseson my forehead. I eventually calmed down and before I knew it, I had fallen asleep in his arms. I didn't realise it till morning.
After that day i just felt different when he was around. I was more happier and excited to see him. And I wasn't annoyed with his random teasing like before. Infact I kind of liked it.

I don't know how to describe it.

Maybe...

Maybe I'm..

No. I can't be. He is my best friend, things would only get wierd. Besides, I know he doesn't see me that way. And I wouldn't want to risk what we have to something I'm not even sure of. Even so, I admit I like how I feel when I'm with him. I feel safe and loved.

"We're here." Aaron said disrupting me from my thoughts. I looked out the window and I recognized the place.

"Aaron, what are we doing here?" I asked confused.

"Don't you remember this place?"

"How can I forget the place where I beat you at basketball everytime we played." I chuckled a bit remembering the thought. Back when we were young we used to come here in this old basketball court. Its floors were cracked and the hoops crooked so mostly, no one ever went there. Well no one except Aaron and I. After school we would hang out there for hours and play basketball. It was our place.

"I'm not sure I remember who used to win or lose but, this is also the place you and I first met."

"Really, I thought we met at school."

"No. It was right here." He was doing it again. Looking right into my eyes and paralysing me with his stare. I wanted to look away but I couldn't.

"Come on. I wanna show you something." He got off first and opened the door for me. He held out his hand and I placed mine in it.
We walked across the court and I began to see little lights, getting brighter as we got closer.

When we got there, I couldn't help but gasp. It was the most beautiful elegant thing I had ever seen. A structure supported with four pillars, sorrounding it were thin strings with little lights, at the center was two seats and a round table covered by a white clothe. The seats had cute bows tied at the back. It took me a moment to take it all in and just appreciate the little details, like the flowers that spiraled down the pillars and the sweet music playing at the background . It was perfect. It took my breath away, literally.

"Aaron, I can't believe you set this up

"Aaron, I can't believe you set this up." I said my eyes still glued to the set up.

"Only the best for you. Shall we." I nodded and he led me to a seat. It was even brighter inside.
I slowly sat down and slightly exhaled. I guess I'm a bit overwhelmed.

"Terry," I looked up to face him, "You look really beautiful tonight."
I think I know why Aaron brought me here.
