"Done and dusted. Thank you, Jesus," Louise said, rising from her seat.
She had just completed the first draft of her latest novel, the seventh she would be releasing. That's if we're not counting the multiple short stories she had released for free.
This one was special because it was a story from her heart. She'd shed tears, banged her head on the proverbial wall, groaned in prayers, and given up several times only to come back to it.
In it all, she kept writing, come rain, come sunshine. This weekend, she got down to it, she and her trusty laptop.
Finally, she could pass this on to her editor for proper scrutiny and her team could begin massive publicity.
It's been five years now since she found her passion for writing. Louise Iyioluwa had become a household name. Her style revolutionized Christian literature globally.
Now, she was a force to reckon with in the media and entertainment industry.
Under the injunction of the Holy Spirit, she began to tutor other budding Christian writers.
Her establishment had grown so fast it was almost unnatural. So many sponsors here and there.
They had segments for every creative: training sector, graphics and video team, social media team, and publishing arm.She didn't like to call herself a CEO, even though technically that was who she was.
Having subjected herself to the thorough dealings of God, she remained humble to the core.It was at a Christian writing conference that she met her wonderful fiance, Daniel. He was a film director and videographer and a strong child of God too.
The way he had proposed to her was dreamy and romantic. He bought her the Christian book she'd been craving to buy.
On the first page, he'd written a note: Will you be the bone of my bones and the flesh?
Of course, she prayed and got her convictions about him before she said yes.Together, they began the relationship on God's standard. In just three months, they would be married and she would begin a new phase of her life. That would be the launch day of her latest book.
With a fresh cup of coffee in hand, Louise took out her diary and sat comfortably on her bed. She began journaling.
"Today, I want to say thank you Lord for entrusting me with the Scribe Anointing. Hold my hands, Lord. Let's write more stories that will change the world."
She took a sip of the coffee and closed her eyes to savour the delicious moment, her heart still connected to God.
Her phone vibrated. She snatched it up from the bedside locker.
Many messages had entered while she was busy, mostly from her fiance to ask about her progress. She would call him soon. The latest one from Cynthia was what caught her attention more.
It was time to go shopping for her wedding gown with her mom and Cynthia, her best friend.
