Chapter 5 - What is Makarov hiding?

Natsu's P.O.V

*Back at Fairy Tail*

(This was when Lucy was still on the train)

I couldn't stop thinking about the letter that Lucy wrote. It matter no sense because when I told her when she was kicked out of the guild, her expression showed that she had no clue what made this happen and then the letter. There is no way that she hurt Wendy at all. I need to find out what is going on. I need to talk to master or someone that might have a clue of what is going on.

'Who would know what is going on?' I thought as I glanced around the guild. I see Erza talking to Gray, Cana drinking, Romeo with his father but none of them would know a thing. 'This isn't going to get me anywhere. Maybe I could talk to Carla or Wendy but Wendy is still sleeping and Carla is just going to blame Lucy again. Maybe I just need another drink. Wait a drink... Mira might know.'

I don't see Mira around, only Kinana helping fellow guild members. Although before long, I see Mira leaving the Infirmary, probably making sure Wendy was okay. She went back to her normal place behind the bar. Something seemed off about her though, I noticed as I start walking towards her.

"Oh Natsu. Can you come her for a minute?" Mira said with a fake smile. Something was definitely up.

"Yo Mira, I was just coming to talk to you." I said.

"Alright, what did you need to talk about?" Mira asked.

"Actually you can say what you have to say first because mine might take a while." I said with a concerned voice.

"Same with mine but okay, lets go outside to talk." She exited the bar and we went to the side of the guild, found a bench to sit on. 'It was a beautiful day but it would be better with Lucy here. I wonder what she is up to right now. Maybe I should go see her. She is probably heartbroken.' I thought

"Natsu... Natsu? Are you listening?" Mira waved her hand in front of my face. I guess I was too lost in thought to listen.

"Sorry Mira, I was just thinking about..." She cut me off before I could finish what I was about to say.

"Lucy, I know you were thinking about Lucy. Although if you were listening, you have heard that she is what I wanted to talk to you about." She said as she placed her hand on my shoulder. Just hearing her name hurt. I don't know what I'm going to do without my partner.

"What about her?" I said in a sad tone.

"Something Isn't right here. Why didn't master question what happened? It just doesn't seem right. Don't you agree?" Mira said.

"Yea, that is actually what I wanted to talk to you about." Mira just laughed. It actually weird that she was the only other one that saw this as something else. "I wanted to know what you thought because it seems like you're the only one that would actually know what's going on."

"Actually I do not know what's going on but I'm willing to help to find out. It seems like Master is involved somehow. He has to be." Mira had a pondering look on her face as she talked, just like she is coming up with possibilities of what could be going on. "I think we should talk to master, to be honest."

I was shocked by her suggestion but it is the only way.

"Okay, lets go." I said as I got up, grabbing her by her hand. 

"Natsu, hold on." She said trying not to trip.

"No, we need to talk to him. I want Luce back." I let go of her but still wouldn't stop.

I got to the bottom of the stairs when I stopped running, everyone was looking at me strangely. Probably because I was upset a moment ago and now I'm running. I didn't care though. Mira stopped right behind me. 

"Ready?" She said and I nodded. We began to walk up the stairs to Master's office, I was nervous about what he is going to say but I have to man up... to find Lucy. We stop right in front of master's office and Mira is about to knock when I stop her. I put my ear up to the door and hear him talking to someone. I don't recognize the other person's voice and it doesn't sound like the person is actually there.

"Mira, He is talking to someone. I think on a communication lacrima." I said as she put her ear to the door, I'm guessing I can hear the conversation better than her because of my magic. 

"I don't know who he is talking to." She says. 

"Me neither but just listen." So we both shut up and were trying to figure out what they were saying.

"Look if the train station did what I asked, she should be heading your way." I hear master say.

"But if they didn't?" The voice sounded concerned.

"They did. Don't worry. She will be fine." He said.

"I still think you should have just let this be. She isn't going to be any safer here." It was a woman's voice talking.

"Yes she will. Just trust me, your guild is the best option. We can't risk anything. She is going to become very powerful one day and we can't let that get out." Was he talking about Lucy?

"Okay makarov. I'm going to get ready so I'll contact you when I bring her here so we can explain things to her." 

"Alright, be safe. Bye Leah." He said as he disconnected the lacrima.

We quickly ran back down stairs so we didn't get caught listening to his conversation but I can't believe what I just heard.

"You know what this means?" I asked.

"Yea, I do. He planned this." she said but paused for a second. "But he wouldn't hurt Wendy, would he?"

"I don't think so but he knows something we don't and we need to find out. We also have to figure out who this Leah lady is and where Lucy went to... Wait, her apartment. We need to go find her." I was about to race out again but she stopped me.

"Wait, they said this is for her safety. Who would be after Lucy and what powers were they talking about. Was Lucy hiding something from us?" She asked. 

'That is impossible. She would never, right?' I thought.
