Lucy's P.O.V

"What do you mean you found it?" Makarov questioned what Leah had said.

"The other half, She figured out what her mother's drawing meant in her journal" Leah pointed at me as I held up the broke key. "Now the question is what do we do with it?"

"Isn't it obvious? shouldn't we remove the half from inside me and give it to someone we can trust? Also just how powerful is this lacrima? if it is that powerful, we should lock it away instead." I kept going on and on. I had no idea how much power this lacrima was but if my mother had to hide half of it inside me, it had to be powerful.

"My dear child, there is something you should know." I just stared at her with a blank face, scared of what she was about to tell me. I knew it wasn't going to be something I liked. "There is no way to remove the lacrima without killing you."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. 'Then what am I going to do? I don't want something like this inside me.' I thought.

"And as for how powerful the lacrima is. This lacrima was the first one ever created which was said to have disappeared a little bit after it was created which is why it was never used. This lacrima was made by a wizard in hopes to defeat the strongest wizard alive." I interrupted her.

"You mean Zeref?" I asked

"No, we mean his brother." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Zeref has a brother. "The wizard that created this lacrima was a man that was friends with Zeref in school but when Zeref got cursed, nothing was the same. All of a sudden,  his brother showed up, no one knows from where but he was more powerful than Zeref and the man got terrified so he created the lacrima. We think that it was his brother that hid the lacrima. After that, an explorer found it and learned the powers of it. She tried to use it herself but died from the power. One of her relatives hid it away, never to be seen again until your mother found it." When she got done explained the story, my mouth was wide open. So much to process.

"Lucy, we need combined the lacrima, make it whole again." Makarov said in a stern voice.

"What are you trying to say?" I stuttered.

"We need you to let us put the other half inside your body." His words just weren't making sense to me.

"But she said that when the explorer did it, she died. How do you know I won't die?" I was scared out of my mind.

"Look if you don't combine the lacrima, more people will come after you. A few of the dark guilds found a piece of the journal that says something about the half that is inside you. Why do you think that Wendy was attacked? I know it wasn't you. I'm not that stupid but I had to send you somewhere safe and that was the perfect chance to do so." Makarov said without a beat.

"What do you mean Wendy was attacked? Why did you force me out of the guild?" So many questions in my mind.

"Last night, Wendy was brought to the guild half dead. Carla said it was you that attacked her. Right away I knew it was a lie but I couldn't miss this chance to send you somewhere safe. So as soon as I heard what Carla said, I told the members that were there that we couldn't risk you hurting anyone else so you had to leave. I couldn't let anyone know what was going on." Tears started to run down my face.

"Is Wendy okay?" That is the only thing that I could ask.

"Yes, she is just fine. Now we need to combine the lacrima. It is the only chance we have to save yourself and the world." I just nodded.

'Well this might be the end for me but I need to protect everyone I love.' That is all that was running through my mind.

"Alright, what do we need to do?" I asked confidently.

"Well the first thing that has to be done is we need everyone to believe that you are dead." I could tell he wasn't joking. "I already had someone I know make a replica of yourself along with your keys.  We are going to blow it up and only leave your hand with your fairy tail mark. We are going to mail it to fairy tail along with your ribbon and fake keys. Make everyone think you died. I know it will hurt everyone but it is the only way to protect them."

I just sat there in silence. Everyone I know, cared for, loved already hates me and now is going to think I'm dead. Although Makarov is right. This is the only way. It was silent in the room for a few minutes until Leah spoke up.

"We need to start combining this lacrima." She said sadly.

"Okay, I'm ready."

"This is going to hurt. Just warning you." She said as she place the lacrima over my left eye and started to say some strange words.

All of a sudden, my eye felt like it was being torn apart and something just pushing its way through my body. Well that is actually what was happening. I screamed so loud, I'm sure everyone for miles heard. I couldn't think of anything besides the pain. Before long, I felt energy and power that I have never felt before along with the pain. It was too much, I feel like I'm going to die.

'I hope this isn't the end.' With that I blacked out.
