"Could this day get any worse?" I cursed as I shut off the water and dry my hands. Of course, Jessica laughed at me teasingly, "You know, usually when you say that, it does get worse. Also, it's not so bad. You only studied for a test you didn't have and didn't study for the test you did have." I glared at her through the bathroom mirror. I did not want to go last period. I just wanted to hop into my beat up car and drive home. When I got there, I would change into my favorite pajama shorts and curl up in my bed with my head phones on until dinner was ready. Jessica opened the bathroom window and breathed in the smell of the flowers below the window as I searched for my ringing phone in the bottom of my purse. When I finally found it, I grimaced. It was mom.

"Hey mom." I answered. Her reply was obnoxiously loud, "Honey bear!" I rolled my eyes, "Mom, I am turning 19 in just 3 months. I am not your 'Honey Bear' any more. I haven't been your 'Honey Bear' for almost 10 years." Jess snickered in the background. "Okay sweetie-pie. Can you please stop and pick up your brother a bag of Cheetos? Also Harry wants some cheese Doritos. Maybe you could get them a bottle of Pepsi too. I will pay you back when you get home. I have dinner on right now so I can't run out myself." I began to say yes to her but then the name hit me like a slap in the face. Harry; the worst of all my brothers friends. "He's there?" I groaned. Mom laughed which annoyed me so much more, "Yes darling. They all are. All five boys of One Direction are sitting upstairs in your brothers room. Isn't it exciting? They all have such nice personalities and a whole lot of energy." "Aren't they supposed to be on tour?" I growled. I hadn't seen him in 2 years and I was fine with that. "No, they have some time off so they will be staying with us. Anyways, honey, I have to go. Food's in the oven. I'll see you after school. Love you!" She hung up and I leaned on the counter with my face in my palms, "Great, my day has significantly gotten worse."

I stood outside of my brothers door and just listened. I could hear Harry inside. His dumb accent was annoying, as was his laughter. I wanted to run in there and stuff the whole bag of chips down his throat and watch as he gags while saying, "You said you wanted Doritos." At that moment, Harry started laughing again and I had to hold down my puke. "Here goes nothing." I mumbled as I pushed open the door. The boys were spread throughout the room. I pushed my way through the testosterone and handed Harry the snacks along with some napkins. "Well, well, well. Looks like you grew up into a fine young woman." Harry teased. I glared at him as his friend giggled. I looked him up and down, "I've heard your singing and after looking at your outfit, I'd say I'm not the only fine young woman here." His smile fell from his cocky face and on that note, I turned and left the room. The satisfaction from that moment had me smiling until dinner.
