THIRD POV

"What did you find?"

"They're moving, but we're still lost as to where. Every time we catch a whiff, they're gone like they were never there."

"Fuck. Did anyone say anything?"

"No. They say they don't know. Or maybe they're just too scared."

"What can we do now"

"We keep trying. As of now, we might need re-enforcement. But we have to be quiet. We cant cause panic"

"Agreed"

________

A lump laid on the broken down bed. A blanket over the small shivering figure. The room was cold, that much was evident with how the bed rocked from the shivering. A few sniffles could be heard throughout the room. It was dark, and silent, nothing could be heard.

Althea lifted the blanket that laid over her head and stood up onto a sitting position slowly. Huffing at the action, she looked absolutely disheveled. Not at all the way she looked when she first got there.

Three months had passed since she first arrived. She was pale, skinnier, sweat gathered around her forehead, a fever was more than raging at the moment. Her stomach was extremely swollen, looking like she was six months pregnant. With triplets at that.

It worried her. She knew her pregnancy would be faster than the regular human, but three babies was much more of a scary truth. Her stomach was bruised, blue and with purple bumps all over, which was easier to see with how pale she had gotten.

She sighed as she rubbed her stomach, the white gown she's been wearing looking dirtier the longer she stayed. It was completely bloody and brown, torn even. It stretched at the front from her bump which she would catch herself looking at lovingly.

Although her situation wasn't the best, she knew she loved them all the more. She wouldn't wish to be pregnant during this, yet she didn't feel so alone. Feeling like she's fighting for something more than just her life.

She stood up slowly, her legs feeling weak as she held onto the headboard of the bed. She slowly made her way to the door where the light switch rested on the wall. She huffed as she felt winded. It's all she's felt every time she walked and she knew why that was.

She hadn't been let out of that room since she got there, the only thing they fed her was some soup and water, the occasional 2 ounce of blood a week. It was enough to keep her and the babies alive, but it left her weak. So weak she could barely move some days, her powers damped down and it worried her.
