Chapter One: The Final Straw

Lemme just say... HOW ARE YA'LL?! I'm literally blank right now and without motivation.

Anyways lets make shit happen and sprinkle some of dat kinky sparkle dust on this shit.

POV: Naruto Uzumaki

It's been weeks since I've been to the leaf village. I went out to train with pervy sage but he left me in a span of three days, leaving the 'training' up to my own self.

I sighed at I stared at the faded blue, almost black sky. The wind blew on my face delectately, making my eyes dry. I blinked and sat up.

My thoughts wander and then lingered to a familier but still unfamiliar face. Sasuke.

I've chased after him all my life I've known him. Claming he was my rival. But he was more than that. He was a friend...'Was'... Now that he left with Orochimaru I've come to realize he hadn't felt the same way. That he disliked me for a reason I may never find out.

Is he really worth all the trouble?.. Was he worth my attention of rivalry? Was he worth the attention of poor Sakura?

A small, mean, horrid part of me pityed her. Why love such a unfeeling person, only to be hurt by them again and again?

Why chase such an unfeeling person. And try to bring them back to the very light they hated?

Thats when it hit me. I was that light. And Sasuke... The dark. He wasn't consumed by the dark. He IS the dark, dragging anyone he crosses pathways with, with him.

No... I decided. He's not worth any value of Sakura, Me, or anyone of his- MY friends. He can run, if not walk, to that damn path, but he won't drag anyone with him.

He was the burden of this lovely friend group, and broke it.

I will rebuild it and make it strong enough to hold its own value.

He can go spend his life in hell, for all I care.
