Chapter two: Seeing you

YO! wsp people. I know. its been over... three, four months? I don't know :P

But anyways with further ado, MY NEXT CHAPTER!

POV: Naruto Uzumaki 

- Age, 20 -

"Bring another round for the birthday boy!" Kiba shouted towards the waiter. He was drunk. 

"Calm down Kiba, no need to shout..." Shikamaru shook his head, closing his eyes. "I have a damn headache and you're not helping."

"Shikamaru. If you don't wanna be here anymore you can go home..." I mumbled, worried.

"Oh, don't worry Naruto. If I can handle her," He pointed towards Ino.

"HEY!" Ino hissed.

"I can handle anyone." He grinned. I shook my head. 

After I finished training with Jirayia-Sensei, I began to be more caring towards everyone, leaving the old, stupid me behind. I began studying for different Jutsu and exeled quickly, placing me on top of everyone. I became the first joinin out of everyone- to everyone's surprise.

"Damare, Baka!" Ino growled. (Look it up bitchessss.)

"Maybe it's time to go home..?" I said, looking around wearyly. "Excuse me? May we get the check?" I waved towards the waiter and he nodded, looking relieved. "Shikamaru? Could you get your team together and take them home? and Shino, Neji? You guys too. I'll help Sakura."

The three nodded and started to pull out their wallets but I shook my head quickly.

"No, no. Don't worry. I've got it."

At the same time they all said.

"Are you sure?"

"But this was to treat you..?"

"Naruto, come on!"

"Please guys. Really. I've got it." I smiled reasuringly. They looked amongst each other and sighed, getting up and helping their team mates.

Finally everyone was gone and it was just me and a drunk Sakura.

I paid the waiter and bowed. "Arigato." The waiter only smiled tiredly. I smiled back and put Sakura's arm around my neck, helping her up, and dragging her to her home.

"Oh... Naruto. I'm so very sorry about her she can get a little carried away. Its her fathers trait." Mrs. Haruno shook her head as she looked at Sakura on her couch. "Well dear. It's getting late. You best get going on home." She smiled as she closed her door.

I walked slowly and found myself on the old training ground. I stood on the standing log, looking towards the dark sky, full of luminous stars. 

The wind blew lightly, but it was a warm breeze. 

It was July 22nd. One day.

I lost my old personality long ago. The sunshine... The always cheerful Naruto was gone. Now there was the fake smile Naruto. Sakura has started to worry ever since I came back to the leaf. Though she rarely ever saw me. I was either always in my home studying, or the forest training.

"Naruto." 

I flinched. What the hell? Did someone follow me? I looked around swiftly, trying to spot the source of the voice I heard. It was very rare that anyone could follow me without being noticed. But there was no one. I couldn't sense anyones chakra around me.

I shook my head. The date has got me jumpy. Too jumpy.

"Naruto." 

This time I jumped down from the log and onto small lake and quickly put down my clones to form as soon as I did the sign for the jutsu if the intruder came towards me. 

But there was no one. 

"Naruto."

I finally recognized the voice.

It was him. The date.

His birthday was tomorrow. July 23nd. He would be 21.

I told myself to forget him and for him to go to hell.

He did no good, like the Devil himself.

I didn't dare say his name. It was like a bad omen. A horrid one.

I blinked and saw a ghost like figure stand across the lake from me. He had almost black hair, black eyes, and pale skin. Like Him. Except he was older. Not the young boy I knew when I was younger. His eyes was as cold as ever. His smirk was knowing and snarky. 

A chill went down my spine and I glared. 

I then blinked and he was gone. Leaving no trace. As if he was a ghost.

What the hell was that.
