The first thing she had to do was rule out the facts

1.) She was on a date with Percy, and than everything went black

2.) it was getting warmer which means she was in a sack

3.) while she was kicking and screaming she was being beaten in the legs, every time she kicked

She had to face the truth: she was being kidnapped.

Annabeth's head filled with questions: Does Percy know? Did they take him to? Would they meet in the same place? Would they see each other again? Who was kidnapping them? Why were they kidnapping them? And lastly, was Percy about to propose?

Almost out of nowhere Annabeth felt a sharp blinding pain at the top of her head.

Annabeth awoke, in a big empty van, with her hands zip tied behind her back, duct tape over her mouth, her dress torn and ripped, her high heels broken and a searing pain in her head. Whoever was doing this didn't mind hurting his victims. Could it be Ares? The thought made her shudder. Who would be so upset, to go as far as to kidnap her. She didn't want to know, but she had the feeling she would soon find out.

The van was moving swiftly over speed bumps, and swerving in and out of traffic, thrashing Annabeth against the wall of the van repeatedly, as an unexpected stop threw Annabeth across the back of the van, only to land on thick solid metal chains.

Out of nowhere there was a loud shriek like rusty metal, and a bright light.

Somebody had given her food, obviously not realizing she had duct tape over her mouth. She then noticed dark figure standing in the corner. Terrified she started cry.

Knowing exactly what was about to happen, she braced herself, and in one quick painful moment, the duct tape was removed from her face. Annabeth let out a shriek.

"Just save us both the time and eat it" He said gesturing towards the tray

" I know that you wanna kill me" Annabeth said in a small voice "so why would I eat anything you give me?"

The mysterious man bent down towards the metal chains, and ripped them out from under her throwing Annabeth across the van.

"You see you can eat this, and you won't feel much, or I can beat you until your practically in the fields of asphodel." Annabeth managed to get up. "Oh you really think your going to Elysium?" The man laughed. "Oh Annabeth"

As soon as he said her name the voice sounded familiar. A wave of sudden realization and dread washed over her face.

All she could manage was, "you died."
