It's been a few days since Manolo and Maria had discovered the truth about their visions. Since then, the visions stopped.
It seemed as though their relationship made more sense to them, why they were so desperate to be together. Knowing who they were in their past lives only made their love grow stronger.
It was midmorning, Manolo and Maria were in the living room telling Joaquin about their discovery, Maria breastfeeding the twins.
Joaquin listened to his friends with wide eyes and his jaw dropped. It didn't take long for him to start pacing the floor.
"Let me get this straight; I'm gone for, like, three days, and the sun and moon themselves told you that you were ancient warrior lovers who fought gods in your past lives?"
Maria and Manolo looked at each other warmly and looked back at their friend, "Pretty much." Manolo said.
Joaquin pursed his lips and nodded. "Well... that kinda makes sense. I wonder who I was in that life."
"I bet you were a mighty warrior who fought alongside us." Maria said, "Who else?"
A knock was heard at the door and Joaquin got up to answer.
When Joaquin opened the door, there was a man with short black hair in a green shirt, and white pants, and a woman with short blond hair in a light blue dress.
"Hello, señor." The man said, "I'm Emilio Rosario, and this is my wife, Rosa. We were told Manolo and Maria Sanchez live here. Are they home?"
"Yeah, they are." Joaquin said, "I'm Joaquin. Come on in."
The couple followed Joaquin into the living room. When they saw Manolo and Maria, they said, "Surprise!"
Maria and Manolo looked up to see Emilio and Rosa, their eyes growing wide and jaws dropping.
"Emilio! Rosa! Hey!" Manolo got up to greet them, "What are you doing here?"
"We're going to visit family." Rosa said, "You said we could visit, and we happened to be in the area, so here we are."
"It's so great to see you again." Maria smiled.
Rosa noticed the twins, "Oh, you had kids!" She gushed as she and Emilio sat down, "Congratulations!"
"Thank you." Maria gestured to her left, "This is Cecilia," she gestured to her right, "and this is Celina."
"They're wonderful." Emilio said, "You know, Rosa and I hope to one day have kids of our own."
"Well, when you do, keep in mind that parenthood is not easy." Manolo said.
"So we've heard."
There was another knock at the door, "Wow. We're really having a party, huh." Joaquin said as he got up to answer.
"So, how long are you in town for?" Maria asked as she finished feeding the girls, Manolo taking Cecilia from her.
"Oh, just for a day or two." Emilio said.
"You can stay here." Manolo said.
"Oh, no, no, we wouldn't want to intrude." Rosa said.
"It's really no trouble. We have plenty of space."
"Well, it would be easier than getting a hotel. Why not?"
Joaquin came back into the room with more people behind him. Manolo and Maria's hearts stopped when they saw who it was.
Zatz and Maya.
They looked almost exactly like they did when they met them, only Zatz was wearing a simple black outfit and Maya was wearing a white shirt and teal skirt. They also had two children with them, who they could only assume were Dawn and Dusk.
