Tempest stood outside of the Hall of Justice waiting for Batman to arrive with Robin and Red Hood, along with the other heroes and their sidekicks. Already reporters and fans were lined up to see the heroes and many were giving her uncertain looks as they noticed how the Gotham news stations were reacting to her appearance but even after all these years, most of the world still didn't know that Gotham had another main hero.

Then they all began to stir as Aquaman and Aqualad appeared. "Lady Tempest," Aquaman said with a bow of his head. "it is a pleasure to finally meet you." Aqualad stared at her wide eyed. Both Aquaman and Aqualad knew that she was a child of their King as they could sense it but Poseidon had forbidden any citizen of the sea from telling anyone who she was or any identity that they figured out by her association.

"Aquaman, Aqualad, the pleasure is mine. Batman has told me a bit about you all and he was complimentary towards you both." She said with a small smile.

Their conversation was put on pause as two small bodies rammed into Percy's back, but she didn't even move at the surprise attack from her two eldest. Instead she turned around to grace Batman and her sons with a smile.

"Well, it's about time the three of you showed up. I was starting to worry." Batman came to stand as close as possible next to her as their two sons merrily grinned at her and then bounded over to greet Aqualad and Aquaman.

"Sorry for worrying you." He said softly as the two stood side by side, facing the Hall of Justice.

"No worries, love. I believe all we are waiting for are Flash and Kid Flash, Green Arrow and Speedy, correct?"

He nodded once as Red Hood and Robin came back to stand in front of them, looking towards the Hall of Justice.

Soon after, Green Arrow and Speedy appeared and stood on Aquaman and Aqualad's other side. Now, they were waiting on the speedsters.

"Anyone else find it ironic that the fastest people alive are always the last ones to arrive?" no one had a chance to answer as a voice sounded from behind them.

"Ah man, I knew we would be late!" and there they were.

The heroes were all lined up now with their sidekicks in front of them. "Welcome to the Hall of Justice." Green Arrow said as they began to walk towards the building.

"Have all four, er, five sidekicks ever been in one place at the same time?" Tempest heard Kid Flash ask as the sidekicks walked a little further ahead.

"Don't call us sidekicks, not after today." Speedy growled.

"Sorry, first time at the Hall. Guess I'm a little overwhelmed." Kid Flash said.

Robin cackled. "You're overwhelmed, Freeze was underwhelmed. Why can't anyone be just whelmed?" they entered the Hall and the immediately saw tall statues of the founding members of the Justice League. "Oh, maybe that's why." He muttered.

Red Hood groaned and looked back at Tempest. "Tempest, Robin's butchering the English language again!" Flash looked over at his words and finally saw Tempest.

"Hey, Tempest, I haven't seen you in forever!" Tempest sent him a grin.

"Flash, wonderful to see you again."

They were interrupted by security doors opening and Martian Manhunter appearing.

"Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Robin, Red Hood, welcome to the Hall of Justice." He led the group into the private lounge and explained the amenities to the group as the adults gathered around a computer separate from them.

Tempest toned everything out, her ADHD making her mind wander when she was brought back to the present to see Speedy storm out.

"What happened?" she whispered to her husband who just sent her a look that he would explain later.

They were again distracted by Superman appearing on the screen to inform them that a lab called Cadmus was on fire. "Hmm, I've been wanting to get a closer look at Cadmus..."

They were interrupted once again by Zatara appearing on the screen. "The sorcerer Wotan is planning on blowing up the sun to absorb its energy. All hands-on deck."

"Superman?"

"It's a small fire, the local fire department has it handled."

Batman nodded once, and the two Leaguers disappeared while the mentors turned to the sidekicks.

"You're to stay here." Batman commanded, and Tempest stepped forward. She was confused, she thought that the purpose of this trip was for the young heroes to come to the Watchtower and be introduced to the league, apparently that was not the case.

"Why?" Red Hood asked.

"Because you haven't been trained to be apart of the team." Flash said.

"Since when?!" Kid Flash interrupted.

"I mean this team. We'll be back shortly. Stay put." Batman growled. Tempest hesitated as the League members began to leave. Batman turned to her. "Are you coming?"

She crossed her arms and shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't been trained to be a part of your team, so I don't think I should come. I think I'll head home since this has been a disappointment of a day."

Batman sighed but was scanned away, knowing that he was going to get it when he got home.

Tempest turned to see the young heroes gathered behind her. "Did you know?" Robin asked, as both of her sons were standing closer to her.

She shook her head. "If I would have known that they weren't going to show you at least the Watchtower, I would have told you both. I didn't tell you about that because I hadn't wanted to ruin the surprise of being in space." Red Hood and Robin darted forward and hugged her waist and she returned it gently. After a moment, they stepped back, and Tempest smiled mischievously at them. "You know, they said that you couldn't join them on the blocking out the sun mission... they didn't say anything about investigating a fire. Good thing I'm going home and can't stop you."

She disappeared into mist at the shocked and excited expressions on their faces. It was time for the four of them to step up and start to become their own heroes. She had been Robin's age when she went on her first quest. Tempest had helped Batman train both Red Hood and Robin, she knew that the both together would be able to handle anything thrown their way.
