Chapter Seventeen

Present Day

Percy appeared at the bottom of the hill and looked up at Thalia's tree that was still being guarded by the dragon with the Golden Fleece draped in its branches. She had stopped at home briefly to change before appearing here and she still felt the nerves settling inside of her. It had been many years since she had been to either camp. Even though she saw her friends outside of it, and employed some demigods - Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Norse, etc. - at her aquariums, it did not mean that they talked about their godly parentage. In fact, they all tried to be and act as normal as possible around each other.

Percy shook her head as her mind began to wander and came back to the present. She took a deep breath before starting up the hill. She crested the top and paused looking down into the valley. The customary Big House, Dining Pavilion, Lava Wall, archery range, fighting arena, and three instructing cabins were just as she had remembered. Turning her gaze onto the cabins for the demigods, she couldn't help her smile as she compared the cabins to her first look and to now. Instead of there being only twelve cabins, there were now close to a hundred and counting cabins, one for each Olympian - even if they did not have children - and one for each minor god/goddess. Percy was glad that even if the gods didn't have children, they still got the representation here. There was a new feature, however, erected. Well two.

One was a memorial for all of the fallen heroes in both the Titan and Giant Wars.

The other were statues of the Seven Demigods - both Roman and Greek. These same memorials were in the Roman camp as well, so that all campers - old and new - could see and recognize the deeds of those before them.

Since it was still summer, the camp was full of campers and none had yet to notice her. She continued on getting halfway before she was stopped by a couple campers.

"Who are you? How did you get in the camp?" The male camper demanded, pointing a sword at her while the other two - a boy and a girl - stood on either side of him with their own weapons raised. Percy raised an eyebrow, amused. The one that had spoken looked like a child of Ares while the other two looked like a daughter of Apollo and a son of Athena. They all looked about the same age around fifteen.

"We'll not ask you again, interloper! Who are you?!" The son of Athena sniped. Percy turned her head and just looked at the statues that represented the Seven, her own in the front of them all.

"I think that is answer enough." The three demigods glanced over before gasped and looking back and forth between her and the statue.

"Y-Y-Your-" The girl stammered but Percy just smirked and moved around them.

"Yes. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am here to talk to Chiron." Not another word was spoken as she finally approached the door, walking up the two steps leading onto the deck/porch and knocked.

Suddenly the door opened to reveal Chiron in his wheelchair form, his mouth already forming a smile as he immediately knew her.

"Percy! It's so wonderful to see you!" Chiron exclaimed. She returned it.

"Chiron," she said in greeting, moving to the side to allow him to come out onto the porch and over to the table where he and Mr D played their games. She sat down across from him and waited for him to get situated.

"What brings you to camp?" He asked curiously.

"Luke IM'd me. He said that my brother and cousins are not only very strong and unable to control their power, but also that most of the camp has classified them all as outcasts almost. I am here to speak to them, to see how this camp is treating them. And if I have to, and if they are willing, I will be taking them out of here and to my home where not only will they be trained, but also not treated as pariahs." Percy said with a glare as Chiron's expression went from happy to sad at her words.
