(Sorry for the delay!)
The Three Fates themselves took Luke's body.
She had never seen those old ladies before, but she would like to keep it that way. They creeped her out.
She accidentally looked at one of them, and even though she didn't say anything, her life literally flashed before her eyes.
Suddenly she was twenty. Then a middle aged woman. Then she turned old and withered. All the strength left her body, and she saw her own tombstone and an open grave, a coffin being lowered into the ground. All that happened in less than a second.
What the-?
The Fate held up the snippet of blue yarn and sniped it.
They gathered up Luke's body, now wrapped in a white-and-green shroud, and began carrying it out of the throne room.
"Wait," Hermes said.
Hermes unwrapped Luke's face and kissed his forehead. He murmured some words in Ancient Greek—a final blessing.
"Farewell," He whispered. Then he nodded and allowed the Fates to carry away his son's body.
As they left, Percy turned towards her.
"It meant you" He said.
"Uh, what?"
"The legacy of death shall follow his trail, and take a stand to even the scale. That was you" He explained. "You are Thanatos' legacy, and you evened the scale with Typhoon. If you hadn't, my dad wouldn't have arrived in time"
"Oh" Well, it did make sense. "Yeah, I guess"
Honestly, her mind and body were too fatigued to think at the moment.
And still, she wouldn't have had the time to say anything else. Cause next to her, Annabeth's knees buckled.
Ivy caught her, but she was also finding it hard to even stand up on her own.
Fortunely, Percy noticed and held them both. Not so fortunately, he grabbed Annabeth's broken arm and the girl cried in pain.
"Oh gods," He said. "Annabeth, I'm sorry."
"It's all right," She said as she passed out in their arms. Her sudden weight making Ivy stumble.
"They need help!" She heard Percy yell.
"I've got this." Apollo stepped forward. "God of medicine, at your service."
He passed his hand over the girls' faces and spoke an incantation. Immediately their bruises faded, Annabeth's arm went back to place and Ivy finally felt the strength return to her body as her surroundings stopped spinning.
Apollo grinned. "They'll be fine in a few minutes. Just enough time for me to compose a poem about our victory: 'Apollo and his friends save Olympus.' Good, eh?" Then he turned to Ivy with his sunny smile. "You were marvelous out there, sweetheart. We could also compose a poem about your great assistance"
"Thanks, Apollo," She managed to smile. "Though I'll let you handle the poetry"
He grinned widely and left towards the other Olympians.
The next few hours were a total blur.
The gods set about repairing the throne room, which went surprisingly fast with twelve superpowerful beings at work.
Ivy helped Grover and Percy care for the wounded, and once the sky bridge re-formed, they greeted their friends who had survived.
The Cyclopes had saved Thalia from the fallen statue. She was on crutches, but
otherwise she was okay. Connor and Travis had made it through with only minor injuries.
