Secrets (Bughead)

Betty's POV

I was sitting in the living room while holding my breath. My mom and F.P had just called Me, Polly and Jughead down from our rooms. I was anxious because I was worried that they found out my secret, our secret.

Jughead and I had been secretly dating for months, we weren't brother and sister hell we weren't even related by marriage so we thought it was okay

When Jughead came downstairs, we made eye contact and I could tell he was thinking the same thing I was. I took a deep breath and looked away as he sat down in an arm chair far away from me

Polly could sense the tension hanging in the air but she didn't why it was there. I hadn't told her about the relationship, I didn't even tell Veronica, Cheryl or Toni.

Polly- "why did you call us down here? I'm supposed to meet Jason and the twins" I felt bad for Polly because I knew meeting Jason was important to both her and Jason. The Blossom's hated her and only let her see the twins every once in awhile even through they were only two months old and needed their mother

Alice- "you can go in a second Polly, but we have something to announce.." she looked at F.P and pulled her hand out in front of us. Alice- "we're getting married!"

My heart sunk as tears came to my eyes. I looked over at Jughead and I could see he wanted to come over and comfort me but he couldn't

Polly- "w-what? When?" Alice- "probably in a few months" F.P- "we'll be looking for venues next week" Betty- "i-is that it?" Alice- "no need to be rude Betty, but yes that was it" I nodded and waited for Polly to stand up and leave. When she finally did I got up and ran upstairs with Jughead close behind me

I went up to my room and grabbed a pillow to hug while I cried. I loved Jughead so much but that wasn't the main point. A couple years ago my dad died in a car accident and I couldn't believe she was moving on already. I sat there by myself for about a minute before I heard a soft knock on the door. I immediately knew that it was Jughead so I softly smiled before I called him in

Jughead- (softly) "hey Betts? You okay?" I shook my head before burying it into a pillow. He came over to me and pulled me into his lap as I cried. We didn't care if we got caught, we just wanted to be with each other

Jughead- (whispered) "I'm sorry Betts, I'm so sorry" he kissed my cheek and stroked my hair as I tried to calm down

Betty- (sniffles) "I-It just feels like I'm losing two people and one of them is all over again" Jughead- "I know, but I'm here for you" Betty- "but you can't be Jug, that's part of the problem" Jughead- "and I'm guess the other part is.. your dad?" I nodded as I pulled myself as close to him as I could possibly be. I just wanted him close for now and that was enough

The weekend came that my mom and F.p were leaving to look at venues and Jughead and I had the whole house to ourselves. Polly and Jason had left town with the twins and we all supported them , but it meant it just left Jug and I

F.p- "you're sure you two will be okay?" Betty- "yes we'll be fine dad, just go" Alice- "Betty?" Betty- (softly) "I'm fine" I was sitting on the couch with my hair in a messy bun and I didn't take my eyes of the tv. I didn't want to look at my mom who I didn't really talk to anymore

I heard the door closed and finally looked over at the door. I smirked once I saw his face and I  opened my arms for him. He smiled before running over and kissing me. Betty- (smiles) "one more night?" Jughead- (chuckles) "one more night" he picked me up and I wrapped my legs around her torso as he carried me up to my bedroom

The next morning I woke up in his arms and immediately smiled. Betty- (giggles) "morning Juggie" he opened his eyes a little and kissed my forehead. Jughead- "morning Betts, even though it's probably our last" Betty- "way to kill the mood Jug" Jughead- (chuckles) "sorry" I moved my head to his chest as he started playing with my hair.
