I saw Tyler again on Monday. I had been to see him for a couple of weeks now but only for a few minutes after my useless therapy sessions and today he was actually at my school! I normally hid in the girls toilets all morning until first lesson, but seeing Tyler there suddenly made me feel stronger.
"Hi there. You ready for your tour?" I said making him jump.
"Oh sorry, didn't see you there. Yeah sure."
Just as we were about to go inside, a group of boys walked past us making ghost noises, just the same as every day.
"I wouldn't hang around with this one newbie.", said one of them.
"Yeah, she's crazy in the head", laughed the other one, trying to join in.
"Shut up Lucas, it's not even funny", I said back, trying not to make Tyler too suspicious.
"What are they talking about?" asked Tyler, sounding concerned for me.
"It's nothing I swear", I lied.
"Crackpot over here says she can see ghosts, can't you?" Lucas told Tyler.
Tyler started to drag me away. "Come on Ali, we don't need to listen to these jerks."
"What was all that about, I can protect myself you know."
"Ali, those boys back there. They said you can see ghosts, is this true?" Tyler asked me, a deadly serious look on his face.
"Yes", I replied, lowering my head in embarrassment. "Go ahead, call me crazy, everyone else seems to."
"You're not crazy Ali, I can see them as well..."
